I know this is a long shot but on dog lost there is an older Akita lost from Rotherham could it be that one as the dog could have been stolen and dumped.

When puppies are sold on if they are from a repeatable breeder they will keep records of who has the pups if dogs are from a back yard breeder or puppy farm the wont microchip them or record were they are sold to. I am all for dog being chipped to help trace back to the owner if lost or stolen. How are they going to make sure details are changed if the dog is sold on. Bring back the dog licence. Microchipping alone will not stop dangerous dogs. Or dogs getting into the wrong hands. It should also be compulsory that dogs wear a collar and tag.

Most childminders do before and after school pick up and do holiday care as well you would need to ring and talk to them go and see them before making up your mind who to go with you may need to pay a retainer for the place to be kept open till your child starts i would start looking a good few months before you need the space.

I agree with you it is hard to just say nothing to people but you have to get on and at the end of the day it is the dog that needs your help and is better off out of the situation and re-homed were they will be love cared for. I have children and i have always had dogs my dogs were there first my children came later both have equal time spent with them it can be done and both children and dogs can live happily together.

I knew the sisters years ago when i lived over in that area they do a fantastic job and have saved thousands of lives over the years. They like many other rescues rely on donations from the public and as a post above says if there would be enough people to donate to help them build the fence that is needed it would help. Could a page be set up for people to donate?
