Evening good people. Just a quick question on using your own car for company use. If you use your own car to carry out duties for your employer do you think they should contribute to the maintenance of the said vehicle? The reason i ask is i have just had a row with my company director on a bill i have put through for repairs to a problem that occured whilst out on company business. Please bear in mind this is the first bill i have put forward in over twenty years of using various vehicles for the company . I have told him if that is the way he is going to be i am not using my vehicle anymore. He walked off in a paddy and did not speak to me for an hour (very childish but this is the type of idiot we are dealing with). Am i being unreasonable or not?

Having just read through this thread,i think that you need to grow up a tad and thank your lucky stars for what you have,a bloody job for starters.. It is trouble causing staff like you that are a bain to employers,bet you cannot wait for Friday at 5 to come then go out and slag off the company you work for,whilst cheerily holding your grubby little mitt out for the pay packet. Never had to do one before,but the time has come for a change.Trouble is i left school,went on a youth training scheme and landed a job with the company,26 years later and i am in need of a change but am worried about how cv will look.I have seen many cv's in my time but they all had a number of different employers with a few points to say about each job,will mine look out of place with just the one employer or am i worrying about nothing.
