i remember--the one on staniforth road was known as the bug hut

the picture palace at darnall was the lyric--cyrils cafe was on the opposite side a little further on

fearnehough street was next street up from selbourne there was cave street in between--f street was just before broad oaks

my aunt and uncle lived on pagoda street--just off don road--nora and les eaton--my cousins tony trever and rodney-were brought up there

my older sister lived on brittnall street-not far from you when she was first married--it was scary crossing over the brick field in the dark, when i visited her.

does anyone remember sledging on the (brick field) near the canal--and sometimes it became a fairground--the spare land before you got to the staniforth arms--it was also a short cut to shirland lane from staniforth road,

my parents moved to skye edge-it was newly built and very nice--didnt take long for it to go downhill

there was also the lycett family and cooks-its funny how names from the past keep popping up in conversation also helliwells--we probably wouldnt recognise each other now after all these years would probably pass in the street and not know.

used to work with norma-petes first wife--knew them both went to a party with them at normas moms--doris--thats a long time ago -happy days -
hi janjan 21--did you live next door to the liversivs-not sure thats the right spelling--and kellys in the yard at the back of the shop--im older than you so we wont know each other as such--my mom and dad stayed until they pulled the houses down.
