  1. We need someone to come and have a look at the drain which catches the waste water from our kitchen and bathroom. It seems to be leaking when we have a shower and water floods outside the house/splashes onto our wall. We don't really know who to even call to have a look at it so if it sounds like something you could do please let me know so we can get a few quotes/figure out what is going on. Thanks a lot!
  2. Thanks very much everyone. My husband and I were talking about it the other day, and if they had approached us before taking down the end of the wall we would have been fine with it as long as they agreed to put it right in the end. Ah well.
  3. We've had our garden wall collapsed by the neighbour's builder, who gave us a quote for putting a new one in at cost. It is a retaining wall about 2 feet tall by 20 long and he's said it will cost us about £500. Does this sound like a fair estimate? Also I don't want to be a jerk, but as the wall collapsed due to their pulling the end off (without our permission), should we be paying for the wall at all?
  4. We had jsmith2009 come and fit doors at our house a few weeks ago, we are very happy with how they've turned out!
  5. Ahh! I asked for Corn Pops in the shop the other day and I am SO EXCITED! What awesome customer service!
  6. In the middle of a thunderstorm in the sheffield botanical gardens he asked me to marry him the other day and I said yes.
  7. Oh well then, I suppose my cover is blown after all
  8. I would post pictures to prove that I am not, as a matter of fact, a bloke in a dress--but you will believe what you want. At least he knows i'm a girl
  9. We did have a near-riot when he showed up in america as he was 16 years older and barely an acquaintance, his best friend seems to love with me, there *was* a bit of a dash at the airport, and all this on top of the normal frustrations one expects with a 4000 mile separation and immigration and all those fun things. Is that a good enough start? I will try to make my trip over more dramatic for you, as long as you promise to go see the film!
  10. Er, I doubt anyone will ever see this, and I don't know why it's taken me so long to tell you if you *have* been on the edge of your seats waiting for something like this--but the visit was amazing and perfect. I'm coming to England in April. So really--thanks again.
  11. He's going to visit me. I have never been happier. Thank you for your wonderful advice.
