  1. Tonight's line up against Port Vale, 2 changes to Monday's line up. Hope they have been practicing their shooting, we definitely need more goals in the goals for column.
  2. If the electricity is switched off at the mains every night a torch would be needed get to bed, also I am sure I read that turning a router off and on isn't recommended. What about people who have their meters outside of the house in a box, it is totally impractical to turn the mains off every night, think of the number of falls and the increase in demand for the NHS with all the accidents.
  3. Why do Universities feel the need to issue trigger warnings, do they think the young academic students of today need protecting from anything that might upset or offend them if they read something without being warned of the content? The University of Warwick have deemed that Sir Walter Scott’s Ivanhoe published in 1819 requires a trigger warning for racism. University issues trigger warning of ‘racism’ for Sir Walter Scott’s Ivanhoe (msn.com)

  5. That Brexit, it gets the blame for everything . 🤣 https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertainment/news/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-blame-brexit-for-racist-abuse-duchess-received/ar-AA15HANZ?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=033453150965443d9163d06e468bfe43
  6. Brownsville Girl-Bob Dylan. First we take Manhattan then we take Berlin - Leonard Cohen
  7. Yes but you have to get the result in the 2 games in the play off before getting to Wembley, it is a lottery.
  8. Today's line up at Fleetwood 4 changes to the last game, let's hope Smith and Gregory can start getting the goals.
  9. Bet Blundell Park would give it a run for that title, went there December in the 70's was like being in a freezer with the icy cold wind blowing in from the sea.
  10. I have had fish and chips from Tony's at Mosborough a couple of times in the last month, Papas will have to go some to beat the quality of their fish and chips.
  11. If the article below is correct, no wonder the NHS needs a lot of administrators with all the box ticking to justify appointments. A policy at the Royal Free in north London requires staff to compile reports justifying why the successful candidate was deemed ‘more suitable’. They are forcing interview panels to explain why they have hired a white person over someone from an ethnic minority, but It does not apply the other way around. how can that be allowed to happen, isn't it Racist? The NHS need more frontline staff not faceless bureaucrats with crackpot ideas. A post should go to the person best suited to the job regardless of sex or ethnicity. NHS bosses want interview panels to justify why they have hired a white person (msn.com)
  12. They are anti motorist. years ago when you came down Granville road you could turn right then they made it you had to go straight on and then turn right on Suffolk Road, all these changes they make cause you to drive further and thus create more pollution. I have not driven near the city centre for over 3 years, last time I went to John Lewis and ended up going round in a circle and ended back where I started.
  13. There is a message on the website as well from Mr Chansiri. A message from the Chairman - News - Sheffield Wednesday (swfc.co.uk)
  14. It will affect their pensions if they go back into employment, they will be paying more tax.
  15. Was on the news on RS at 2pm said something about the infrastructure. Just looked and they posted this on Twitter this morning. Due to infrastructure issues near Crystal Peaks the Blue route service is suspended between Donetsk Way and Halfway till end of service. Passengers can use their tickets on First and Stagecoach busses.
  16. Well that is another chance to get into the top two they have thrown away because they cannot score the goals, maybe give Cadamarteri a pop, I mean what is there to lose when the established forwards can't get it in the net.
  17. Today's line up against Oxford, 4 changes to the last game, no Bannan today. Something has got to change and they have to start getting more than 1 goal a game. They are creating chances but the goal return isn't good enough if they are going to achieve automatic promotion rather than the lottery of the play offs. Let's hope they can change today and get more than one goal and get 3 points.
  18. I had to look it up. 🤣 tran·sub·stan·ti·ation [ˌtransəbstanʃɪˈeɪʃ(ə)n, ˌtrɑːnsəbstanʃɪˈeɪʃ(ə)n, ˌtransəbstansɪˈeɪʃ(ə)n, ˌtrɑːnsəbstansɪˈeɪʃ(ə)n] NOUN CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY the conversion of the substance of the Eucharistic elements into the body and blood of Christ at consecration, only the appearances of bread and wine still remaining. Compare with consubstantiation.
  19. He is spot on with it, the Government said they were heroes along with others that worked through the pandemic now they are being painted as villains that are out to cause unrest and trouble.
  20. I watched a new Jonathan Pie video on YouTube about the strikes, it wasn't a humorous one as usual it was more of a rant. I have put the link below but don't know if the mods will leave it on because of the language in it, not sure if I have seen one of his videos with more swearing in it. Strikes! - YouTube
  21. Just reading that they are opening a restaurant in the old Aagrah restaurant at Crystal Peaks. https://www.thestar.co.uk/lifestyle/food-and-drink/papas-fish-chips-bbc-award-winning-restaurant-and-takeaway-opening-soon-near-crystal-peaks-in-sheffield-3949529
  22. I always find it odd that teams will bring in 19 year olds on loan and play them but not give home grown players the same age a chance.
  23. MK Dons have sacked manager Liam Manning. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63361291
  24. Today's line up at Exeter 1 change to the last game, let's hope we can get 3 points.
  25. It used to be the Manchester to Cleethorpes train, I remember catching it early one morning at Manchester airport. I seem to remember reading something a while ago about it having been cancelled.
