  1. You wouldn't happen to know Mr. Bullivant's first name would you? Regards Dave Bullivant
  2. Hi all, I was born in Bradford (I know, apologies to all) but have lived in California since I was 16. I'm researching my family tree and I have a lot of ancestors from Sheffield, specifically Attercliffe and Brightside Bierlow. My great grandfather was John Joseph Bullivant who lived at 49 Botham Street from 1901 to 1911. Prior to that he lived on Percy Street (1881) and St. Phillips Road (1871). Aunts and Uncles have always told me we had a lot of Bullivant relatives in Attercliffe. I get a little confused as census takers have listed Grimesthorpe, Brightside Bierlow. Would they all be the same to people living there (now or at the time) or is there/was there a fine distinction between them? Cheers Dave Bullivant Bradford/Long Beach California
  3. Hello, First time user here. I'm trying to establish some links in my ancestral research. Specifically the Bullivant family. I know there were a lot of Bullivants in Attercliffe, however I'm trying to confirm whom the parents were of Henry, May, Ivy, Ada, Amy, and Maurice Bullivant around 1897-1910. Henry is my grandfather. I strongly suspect the parents were Richard and Eliz. Bullivant but without access to the 1911 census I cannot confirm. If I can establish the link, then I've traced the family tree back to 1680! I was born and raised in Bradford, but have lived in U.S. since 16 yrs of age. Any information would be greatly appreciated. David Bullivant Los Angeles
