I can’t understand why this isn’t in the Allotment & Gardening thread?

I’m more concerned about the present situation in the Ukraine and the cost of living crisis than the silly culture war nonsense that some people are engaging in.

I was fourteen in 1981 and remember going to lots of away games with my mate and his dad and uncle. Went to Hull, Stockport and Scunthorpe and the other game we lost that season against Colchester was on MOTD. Valley Parade was a bit naughty on that big open terrace with there fans on one side and ours on the other.

Quality response from The Yorkshire Post today. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/opinion/a-valentines-day-love-letter-to-lord-moylan-3567079 ‘Again, I am sorry, but I must advise you that this newspaper and its editor cannot be bought nor harangued into toeing your line. It will continue to fight for a fair deal for Yorkshire and the North’.

I remember that like it was yesterday. I’m sure Barnsley and Rotherham got promoted that season and Chesterfield had a decent side back then as well. I enjoyed our only season in the old fourth division, some of the old grounds were interesting. Just had another look at that and it says Rotherham won the league that season.

Could you provide some reasoning as to why you think that? -
Strong Bottled Ales - What's Your Favourite?

My favorite IPA at the moment is Proper Job from Cornwall. Again £1.49 from Tesco and it’s a nice strength at 5.5% ABV. -
It’s clear the Johnson has always wanted to become Prime Minister but I think he just likes the idea of being prime minister, rather than actually being prime minister. He's always wanted the power and the status, but without wanting or being capable of the work and the responsibility involved in the role.

I agree, it’s a lovely drink to have in front of the fire on a cold winter evening. Guinness West Indies Porter is very nice as well. -

Derbyshire Lane chip shop is very good in my opinion.

I purchased a couple of bottles from my local Tesco yesterday, £1.49 a bottle is really cheap for such a strong ale. -
I’ve got a mate who lives in Australia and family in Ireland. When you hear what others think about us it’s clear that Johnson has done some serious damage to this country and its reputation and that’s why I want rid of the man.

A good bricklayer lived near me in Walkley when I was growing up and he built his own house, Mick Colley. -

Batemans Victory Ale and Fuller’s 1845 are two of my favorites, I do enjoy a glass or two of strong ale once the dark nights start drawing in. -

Leighton James gave me the same response after we’d beat Burnley 4-0 at Bramall Lane in 1978. My mates found it very amusing. -
Is Sheffield Forum Left Wing Biased
websters gue replied to Conshefsky's topic in General Discussions
One thing for sure is that it’s always had its fair share of right wing dummies. -
