  1. I'd really like to see that, and I'm free on 29th March.
  2. I'd be happy to see either; I may or may not be able to come, depending on what time a sofa arrives and urgently needs assembling!
  3. Yes, anyone's welcome to join us, and you can find out what films we've seen in the past by looking back through this thread. We see a lot of 'alternative' and foreign films with the odd mainstreamish one thrown in here and there.
  4. In an almost unprecedented piece of forward-planning, those of us who came along to the movie group last night agreed on a film, a date and a time for the next meeting. We're going to see Letters to Juliet at 6pm on Monday 26th July, at the Showroom. http://www.showroomworkstation.org.uk/letterstojuliet Hope to see you there.
  5. OK with me. Will you send a message to the facebook group, if it's alright by maels too?
  6. Sorry, I somehow missed that Maels had already seen it.
  7. Dogtooth looks interesting to me. It'd have to be the Monday rather than the Wednesday for me, though, if we chose that one.
  8. That's OK for me, although the following week would be even better. (I don't know whether it's on the following week; haven't got time to look right now.)
  9. Well, we could say we'll see Invictus if it's on a a suitable time on its TBC days, and if not, Crazy Heart. What does anyone else think?
  10. Of those, I'd most like to see Invictus (inspiration, Morgan Freeman and international rugby - what more could we want?), Crazy Heart (I think it would make an interesting comparison with The Wrestler, which we saw a few months ago) and A Single Man (I love Christopher Isherwood and it's based on his book).
  11. I can't do the Thursday, so if I'm coming it had better be Monday.
  12. I think we can call that a decision. I'll send a message out to the Facebook group.
  13. Thanks for noticing, PB. I like the look of An Education, Goodbye Solo, Bright Star and Cold Souls. What does everyone else think?
  14. The opinions that weren't mine were wrong, of course I'll keep a lookout for the November Showroom programme so we can decide what to see next.
  15. I like the look of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and District 9. Anyone else got any suggestions? Programme here.
  16. Really good discussion last night, I thought. Thanks, all.
