  1. I dont go out very often and wondered, do pubs charge for soda water?
  2. Lovage is due to erupt into growth this month, been growing it for years and freeze some for use in winter. Tremendous stuff, like cellary without the stringy bits, goes in stews, bolgnaise and many other dishes. Grows to about 7 foot and the flowers dried to make celllery salt at the end of the season.
  3. I worked for them in about 1972 working on the calledar and sewing repairs on boiler suits. Did not enjoy working there at all.
  4. I opened a bag of builders sand that had been stored outside from last year to find it full of little green plants. They are spikey with leaves at every angle around the stem and about 1/2 inch tall. Any idea what they may be?
  5. Well done, better safe than sorry, good luck with the pup, he looks a smasher:hihi:
  6. You may want to check if he's munched any house plants that are toxic, or plants in the garden, hope he is better soon, looks like a 'bandit' with the patches.
  7. This idiot spooked my dog a couple of weeks ago he was so low, now he looks skyward every time he goes out and wont go through the front door anymore:rant:
  8. Thank you for the information guys, very helpful.
  9. Despite trying for 1/2 hour using the on line timetables etc, I still dont know which busses run from Heeley to town Centre, where to catch one and how much it will cost. I know they run past the bottom of Myrtle Rd and on Heeley Bank Rd but dont know which numbers get me into town. I dont use buses as a rule but may need to soon, as I can't walk that far any more. Can anyone enlighten me please:love:
  10. No, I had to stay in over night and the nurses were vigilant in stopping us from crossing our legs as this stops the blood circulation. I think the 'packing' was removed the following day and if there was no bleeding we were allowed home. They also encouraged us to eat ice cream for some reason:loopy:
  11. Sounds like you've had your share of hospitals, I don't like them either & could'nt wait to get home. Have they offered you a pre op meeting? This could answer your questions and put your mind at rest. Give them a ring and see if you can talk to someone about your fears, better to know than not to.
  12. No, no cathater needed, I could pee for England after the op with no trouble:hihi:
  13. So was I, I was sick from the anasthetic but after the 'packing' was removed I was uncomfortable but cant remember being in any pain. Speak to the nurse in charge to put your mind at rest, I hope it goes well for you.
