  1. Unfortunately with fizzy drinks served in pubs and restaurants with the lemonade ones you can only tell the syrup needs changing is when you taste it. With drinks like Coke or Tango you can tell as it just comes out looking like water as there’s no syrup left in the box.
  2. What sort of further cuts are going to be coming in the new year when this funding ends though. First are the only operator to not take on the extended funding hence them cancelling a large number of services.
  3. Except they do where as before the 52 would be each every 5 minutes since the partnership started they now operate every 10 minutes combined so you’ll get a first 52A then 10 minutes later a Stagecoach 52 and so on. Before the partnership you’d have a 52A every 5 minutes and a Stagecoach 52 every 5 minutes too.
  4. Why is everyone so against this? Newcastle had something similar called the Stack bang in the city Center which had street food places and bars in it with walkways around and a stage for live bands to play on which was a cracking venue and for an outdoor venue quite well covered. Why can’t we just wait and see what it’s like before writing it off.
  5. I understand what you are saying but all of the staff that were available worked on that day. I had 12 people that had applied for jobs last Monday out of these 12 people 2 answered the phone and had interviews scheduled but neither of them turned up. The team worked there socks off but compared to the previous payday weekend Sunday we took 69% higher sales whereas we factor in a 5% increase on the previous 6 weeks average sales. I can only apologise for the waiting time on this night but it was impacted by team resigning with no notice during the week too. I’m not going to get into what we should and shouldn’t be doing but just wanted to give a bit of clarity to the situation and answer your questions. I Hope you continue to use us though.
  6. So the delivery drivers are hired by a 3rd party company called Stuart who are contracted to Just Eat, drivers can also work for the other platforms too. When you order through whichever platform the orders are automatically accepted by the restaurant. When there is a spare driver it assigns the order to them then when they are within 5 minutes of the store then the order appears on the pack screens for the store to pack. The issues faced on Sunday night were a combination of being short staffed which almost every business in this line of work is suffering with but also we are actively recruiting for all roles, but also when all of the orders appear on the screen at once can cause the the team to get a backlog as happened on Sunday night. Where the driver cancels then the orders are reassigned to another driver. The contract is between the customer and the delivery platform who take the payments the outlet in these circumstances just provide the food. Sunday unfortunately didn’t follow a normal sales pattern which contributed to the circumstances. I don’t want this to turn into however grief against the restaurant I just thought I would help clarify the situation.
  7. I think that might be for train tickets to be fair as it also mentions ticket office. Tram tickets you can only buy on board the tram.
  8. The danger as I see it is this currently if there is no guard then the service is cancelled as you need 2 safety critical members of staff to run the service. By changing the role of the the guard to only checking tickets and the driver completing the dispatch procedure alone could lead to the guards role and training changing meaning they are potentially no longer safety critical and only there to check tickets and provide assistance, in this situation if the guard was to be ill for his duty then in theory they could still run the service with just the driver on board. This is where the situation is with the RMT trying to prevent this from happening by getting the guarantee that the guard will remain safety critical. For example currently a ticket inspector would not be able to do the role of a guard as they are not aware of the additional training guards receive in future this situation would occur regularly.
  9. Hi I'm looking at starting to learn to drive again and wondering if anybody could recommend an instructor who has an automatic car which is what I'm wanting to learn in or if there are any instructors on here who have an automatic I am in woodhouse. Previously failed 5 tests in the past in a manual hence wanting to learn in an automatic Thanks Mark
  10. Hi I've just had my boiler condemned and needing quotes for a new boiler. I can be contacted on 07958540557 to arrange a time to view. Cheers Mark
  11. Hi I've got an old thorn Apollo boiler and noticed today the pilot light has gone out likely sometime Monday as heating setting was still on and Monday night was the last time I had it on. Tried to relight but no joy any ideas on possible faults also had a new meter fitted on Monday could it be linked?
  12. I think that the access to your contacts is that there is an option to split the fare so it may be required to facilitate this function.
  13. Hi can anybody recommend a tiler for a downstairs toilet please. Cheers Mark
  14. Hi the optio range of tickets have been withdrawn but the first day and week sheffield tickets can be used on stagecoach services 52,120&123. Also stagecoach day and week sheffield bus only tickets can be used on first 52 & 120 services. The 120 doesn't go past the children's but shares stops with the 52 along west street where you could swap over.
  15. The reason that the 32 was changed was due to the flow of passengers that used that service in that people from the manor end of the route mostly only travelled between there and handsworth / catcliffe. Which is what this service caters for and the new 72 still provides a fairly quick service for Rotherham or Sheffield City centre for the other customers on the old 32 route to and from Rotherham.
