  1. Can anyone recommend a private pensions advisor in S11?
  2. Watch folk as they come out of the communal loos..... no one washes their hands yet picks up breads/marshmallows...vile
  3. I have heard tonight (unreliable source but council staff) that this school build is going ahead and will affect current year 4/soon to be 5s. Anyone else heard?
  4. All for pride; embrace it. Missed it this year as we were away. I actively encourage my daughter to understand about different sexualities but since she learnt to read we have had to avoid it as some signs were highly inappropriate. Last year some ladies had 'I love <removed>' written on their bodies. It was too much. I hate to read about any discrimination though. Awful.
  5. She's reluctant to leave the house or go to school. School have now referred through MAST AND CAMHS but we have referred her privately. School have been supportive. I'm still at a loss as to explain it.
  6. My daughter suffers with anxiety. It's intermittent but awful when it strikes. She was referred to CHAMS but the wait was months and her issues seemed to have gone so we never went. It's been 21 months now since it happened but today it's raised it's head; she doesn't want to leave the house. Got her to go out after hours of persuasion but I can't cope with another summer of it. I know that sounds awful but it was just so hard; she wouldn't eat last time; developed ketosis. I've tried everything but nothing works. I hate seeing her so distressed but she can't seem to say what's causing it. Anybody any advice? It's not bullying. She's 9.
  7. [/color]Very big improvement over our first visit, the food was ace, as were the wait times and service. Any other comments now it's settled in? Is it worth a re visit?
  8. Strange that a landlord just suddenly wants his property back? Do they know you have a pet? Has permission been granted or is that the reason for the notice?
  9. If you are renting then I would advise to move as it won't get better I can't imagine. Try contacting the management company for the block re them blocking the entrance/exits and see if they can help in the interim. Talk to your neighbours and get others on side to back up your concerns. You or your landlord pay a service charge for a reason. If you have bought then contact the council or whichever housing association own the neighbouring flats. Good luck! If all else fails spike your costco cakes with loads of laxatives and distribute accordingly!
  10. Depends on what you want from a night out. If your Mrs liked Menzels I'd say start; Prince of Wales, Banner Cross, Bistro Pierre then either onto Sharrowvale for Lescar and Porter Cottage or straight down Eccy Road to the micro pub (name escapes me but near Spar), then Porter Brook and then Monk, Nonna's and Pointing Dog. I personally would do it backwards and avoid Nonna's and Pointing Dog and then head to Greystones for last orders but then again I'm dull!
  11. Granted but you can never tell how the staff will react under pressure regardless of training.
  12. We went on Saturday and thought it was okay; Food was average:the service was really good and all the staff tried really hard to accommodate. Will try it again once it's settled on. Hard to criticise a place which has just opened as they are just finding their feet and they will iron things out over next weeks . True reviews will come later,
  13. Grenoside has always been a great place to live. There will be certain families who attract trouble wherever they go sadly. This is is not specific to Sheffield or Grenoside and The Harrow remains a great local. Scum breeds scum and wherever you live you get them.
