Can anyone recommend a town centre cafe that does great scones with clotted cream?

This came up in discussion recently: would parents pay for a mentor for their children? One to one sessions or group? Do you think a confident child would do better at school and in hobbies? Or do school and hobbies create confident children?

Has anyone aked the kids who are there now what they think?

we thought someone had nicked the original metal plates for scrap, and now chuckle every time we pass the "empty" poles.....don't agree with stealng for scrap, but in this instance it struck me as funny....

What's the score with recycling plastic? I think it's great that I now own a pair of trousers made completely from recycled plastic (nicer than they sound!)...however, what's the thing about "remove all tops"? I used to throw the tops away, 'til I saw someone literally remove them - yet still throw them in the recycling bin!! Which kind of makes sense. I researched it on the net once (Veolia were no help) and apparently i's beacause plastic is shipped to China and sorted by hand - not good!!!.....anyone know any reliable sources about this?
