Hi.... ......I remember the Escalopians FC. I still have a ticket for a dance back on the !st May 1965 at Southey Methodist Hall for the Escalopians Fc..........it was one of my early gigs......we played under the name "The Otherside"..... .......I was never much good at running around on the grass myself......but I rememer those times well. Hi Adrian..... .......would have loved to come to the Black Bull for your gig..........trouble is I'm in Los Angeles and my next promised trip is the other way in October for my nephew's wedding in Melbourne. Try to get some good photos....or even video ( you could You Tube it. A couple of pints in Ecclesfield would be great right now......we're in the middle of a 100f plus heat wave at present. Later... Hi Adrian.... .....this is Steve Radford. I'd almost forgotten about that City Hall event. I remember one part where Glyn Senior was leading a group of demonstrators and I ran on .....dressed in black....flashing a torch.....as one of the arresting Police. I got told off for checking out your equipment at a rehearsal before the show. When I saw how much attention your band was getting...........and seeing Eric Clapton at the Mojo Club......it kind of veered me away from the career the teachers and my parents had planned. What did you play in the band?......I seem to remember a powder blue Futurama ...or similar. Later, Steve.

Hi Ken.... ......Steve Radford (Radishes) from Los Angeles. Great to hear from you.........often wondered where you ended up. Always figured you'd be in engineering...computers..or even a Sci-Fi writer............you always had some interesting ideas. I played guitar for many years..........then sold British cars ( Jaguar...Land Rover and Rolls royce..........all three at one location for many years)... .....after an accident that messed my leg up....I slowed down...now I'm writing and getting my guitar skills updated........a full circle. Even though we're all passing that magic 60"s mark............we all have that image of a bunch of kids running around............Where the heck did all that time go? Later, Steve.

I try to forget the birthdays these days.......but I had My own little celebration UK time........had a few drinks and worked up my own version of Apache......the first tune I ever learned on the guitar......seemed like a good idea at the time. Hi Geoff....Steve Radford from Los Angeles......sorry to hear about the health problem..........hope you have a quick recovery.

Back in the early 70's I moved into a house just of portobello road in London. One day we were rehearsing the band....there's a loud banging on the front door......it's my neigbour...."I like music but it's disturbing my family etc..." ........no problem.....we turned down and continued. Over the next year I got know him .......we'd talk about everything..... One day we were on the street talking.......a car pulled up.....David Gilmour leans out the window and tells Rick they got to go to some meeting.. .......that's when I knew who he was.... .......I'm a little slow ....four years earlier I was lucky enough to play a few numbers on the same bill as Pink Floyd at the King Mojo Club. Just wanted to say what a great person he was.......and that I was once told to turn down by one of the major influences on World Music. He'll be sadly missed.

Used to have a lot of plastic kits from Kenyons and my dad used to spend a lot of time in the Wharncliffe..... .....we live at 91 Firth Park Crescent.

Hi ..... ...this is Steve Radford from Los Angeles.........glad to hear from you Geoff....always wondered whatever happened with the football.......we all chased our dreams in our own way.... .....you came up in a conversation just the other day........we were sat around talking about our first guitars etc...........some guy came up with a picture of an old sunburst Futurama.......the Stratocaster knock off with three either side machines and the three rocker switches........just like the one you had................now that's strange. I still play........always got a couple of Strats lying around. In fact after I messed my leg up......moved into a friend's guest house next to his recording studio.......could have used this place in earlier time when I had something worth recording.......not the krap I'm doing now. Glyn......sorry to hear about your local weather.......makes our early record breaking heat wave seem minor. Good hearing from you..later, Steve,R.
