  1. i have been told that the old Halifax is going to be a Betfred bookies
  2. YES I HAVE THE RIGHT TO MOAN WHEN AN IDIOT GOES THE WRONG WAY DOWN A STREET,JUMPS A RED LIGHT AND NEARLY WIPES ME OUT whatever the time of day, whats the difference in killing someone at 3AM and killing them at 10AM?, what sort of stupid statement is that? listened to radio Sheffield today and the council is looking at mobile camera's to catch those illegally parked, YAHOO!!!!! go to the Midland station and they will fill their boots with money
  3. What the hell is SCC on about when singing the praises of cabbies of black cabs, he states there the only ones with medicals and knowledge tests? Is he up to date with the new laws? NO As i have an HGV license i am required to sit regular medicals, you also have to sit knowledge tests including 5 exams which also includes driving with an instructor as in re-sitting your exams, as for all the statements that all cabbies are whiter than white and are all insured its well known that quite a few cabs have several drivers keeping those cabs running 24/7
  4. possibly the previous custormer but also witnessed the odd individual taxi drivers smoking drugs on a certain back street in Brightside whilst talking to each other during the early hours of the morning before setting off in their cabs to another fare but i dont think it is particularly widespread just the odd individuals
  5. i take it then Tom06 that professional drivers go down the wrong side of a road and through red lights into on coming traffic? and yes they do have sat navs on em and before you start slating me i am a professional driver with a class 1 lorry licence and been driving every day of my life for 22 years without any points or attending any speed awareness courses so i am experienced enough to know what i am on about
  6. at the said location you can clearly see all the traffic lights in all directions and the fact it was 630am and still pitch black there is no excuse to go through at red as you can see the green light from the opposite direction and the fact i was making my move with headlights clearly on
  7. Hi PADS4, No it is not illegal to turn right from Shoreham St into Suffolk Road but as you turn right there are 3 lanes, the 1st lane is for traffic turning right from the Midland station heading towards the Parkway roundabout there is then a centre reservation with 2 lanes the other side for the direction towards Granville road, the driver took the 1st lane heading into traffic in the wrong direction he then decided to proceed forward through a set of traffic lights that had been on red for several seconds almost running head on into myself had i not seen him and as for the other guy saying i am presuming that the cab is not drove by more than one person then there must be some driving illegally cause some cabs are on the go all day long were talking about black cabs here not private hire althouh the one this morning happened to be painted white
  8. YEARS AGO TAXI DRIVERS HAD TO PROVE THEIR ROUTE OF KNOWLEDGE BEFORE AQUIRING A LICENSE today they all have sat navs and some of em have not a clue where their going, these taxis are on the road 24/7 with several drivers in em, how many of those drivers are the legal owners of that vehicle
  9. It is illegal and it is dangerous to jump any red light as i said to you i had the right of way i had started to set off on a green light which part of my right of way can you not get into your head?, which part of jumping a red light and heading straight into someone else do you not understand? And as i said he also had the lives of his customers to think about
  10. The frightening thing is, he makes a statement saying they know what their doing and only appear to an untrained eye to be dangerous? the fact is i had set off on a green light but was aware of his stupidity to stop in enough time to avoid an head on smash
  11. I disagree with them all being professional drivers they are always parking up by the cash machine on the corner of Suffolk Road on a blind bend where you can almost run into the back of them, they always park on double yellow lines and in cycle lanes by the station, they block the entrance to the funeral parlour and network rail premises on cross allen street, and since when is it professional as a driver to say it is safe to run through red lights and drive the wrong way down a road? as a professional driver myself anticipation is part of being proffesional
  12. Just on my way home from working a night shift this morning when i approached the lights on Sufflok Road from the midland station when i noticed an asian taxi driver in a white cab turning right out of Shoreham street onto Suffolk Road, he drove down the wrong side of the road towards facing traffic should there have been anyone sat at the lights and then incredibly through a set of RED lights almost wiping me out despite me having the right of way through green lights, bearing in mind he had passengers sat in his cab i question his knowledge of the roads and how he has managed to obtain a license in the first place?
  13. Hi Quickpest, Not seen any Short-Eared Owls myself but have read that they have been seen on the site so i will keep on looking, have seen the Bearded Tits on there also was lucky enough to see two Cettis Warbler in the same binocular view
  14. A spelling mistake is a spelling mistake just go away if you have nothing constructive to say on the subject of Pit-House West
  15. The problem is Testing and why i object so strongly is because there are birds here that are on the Red List of endangered species and they have specific needs, the Bittern for example requires Reedbeds, birds just don't live anywhere and upsticks like humans, once you have destroyed their habitats there is every chance eventually they will be extinct on this small island of ours, this is not a place to put a theme park it should be smartened up and be joined into the RVCP lots of people walk their dogs, ride bikes, fish and enjoy nature at this location, as for their estimate of 1.5 Million visitors a year? wishful thinking during a recession
