  1. Well true yes let's forget race as such then and talk about mish mash. to what extent do we want to live in a mish mash. What does it mean to live in a mish mash. Aren't we proud of the England that the smiths used to reference - the kitchen sink dramas, northern icons, the back to backs in Rosserman street, the carry on films etc. Do we want this that we've got today instead?
  2. Is it idenitfiably London purely because of it 's complete sense of human dislocation? People may like london for the sights, I don't think you'll get anyone going back there because of the people. bemused foreign visiters ask where the real londoners are, assuming there should be some native british basis to the british capital city. It would have been interesting to have experienced London when it was predomantly as English as say sheffield. Now it's all a complete mish mash of turks and pakistanis and goodness knows what with no sense of shared heritage of place, or values or even reliable language skills. loads of immigrants from all over the world by no means under one umbrella- providing very little feel of being part of any society
  3. We've discussed this many times. You know perfectly well families and relatives of white racial attack victims are leaned on to put out press releases denying a racial motive. One assailant told the police himself that the victim wasn't allowed in this part of town” because he was white. How can that possibly not be a racial attack?
  4. It's a case of longterm of absorption. I don't know really- do people think the Asians of Netheredge today are to all intents and purposes just like a darker version of the sheffielders of Netheredge in the fifties? Or are they something quite different?
  5. Anyway so Morrisey said we're different from France Germany Sweden and Italy in that in those countries you know where you because they've retained their identity. IN our country in contrast you could be anywhere. Is that what the anti-BNP brigade on here really want? we like not having an identity in the way other countries have one? Why do 52% of the British population dream of emigrating?
  6. The D-Day War veteran Walter chamberlain got very badly beaten while walking home from a rugby match through a park by a group of asians. This came in the wake of Chief Superintendent Hewitt's admission in the Oldham Chronicle, that racial attacks in Oldham were among the highest in the country. He revealed that 75 per cent of these were being committed by Asians on white people. Whilst Labour and the press strenuously denied no go areas for whites in Oldham,The police officer investigating Walter chamberlain's attack told the press that one of Chamberlain's assailants told him he was "not allowed in this part of town” because he was white. Do you begrudge the BNP the right to stand two candidates in this town
  7. I've been on this site for the last three months BNP threads or non BNP threads. of course leftwingers need some way to slur anyone supporting the BNP on the internet having always been used to stifling free speech by braying and hurling bricks and violently beseiging meetings. It must be so frustrating for the left that people can just sign online speak freely and there is nothing they can do about. The BNP weren't marching in Bradford, Burnley, Oldham or anywhere else prior to the riots, during the riots or following the riots. They don't do marches of any sort or threaten to do marches of any sort. So you can just forget that bit of nonsense.
  8. I've got an idea I'm going to join sheffield monster raving loony party work myself up until i'm branch organiser and only allow sensible people to be members. then I'm going to secretly film them being sensible and normal and undermine the monster raving looney's party's efforts to present itself as a mad cap joke party.
  9. yes very much so music wise and animals rights wise. But I do think sometimes these people rather like John lydon can become addicted to themselves as rent a quote figures. that said i'rd love to be a person whose every quote would make the news but I think it goes to their heads somewhat. Not everything they say warrants serious consideration. Bob dylan used to handle the attention a bit more deliberately deflecting from himself as a spokesman for a generation adroitly by making surreal or nonsense quotes from time to time.
  10. get you dates right you're now talking about 2004. the riots were in 2001? Christ you're obviously a person impressed by what drunks say.You need to get out more. Did the police even bother charging that guy? The head of the Bradford BNP was an infiltrator running a rogue branch. he turned away decent people and courted lunatics who no organsiation would have given the time of day to. He then invited in secret cameras to film the idiots and they were then held up as examples of the BNP membership. so that whole exercise proves what?
  11. look up The day the ANL-NF pantomime horse bolted', Red Action Bulletin, 9th July 2001. the Asian MP i believe was Marsha Sing who said it was the end for the ANL Steve Barkham was plied with drink, do you hang on every word of drunks when they talk about the fights they've been in? I was in Bradford in the nineties and there was no BNP that i knew of
  12. then give me some evidence. Otherwise you can just trumpet any cr*p, and just call it your supposition.
  13. I agree with you about the music press and Morrisey. As to Billy Bragg the baird of Barking? he travels in every election time to tell the locals how enriching multi-culturalism is and how they mustn't vote for the nasty BNP, then trundles backs to his mansion in safe unenriched rural Dorest in his chauffeur driven limousine- I could live without people like Billy Bragg to be honest with you. Like the local people in Barking too since his last intervention there led to the BNP sweeping the boards at the election. At least Morrisey has got some integrity, which is why his opinions sell magazines where as others with more right on views tend to be easily exposable as just bull****ters.
  14. oh come on they do better than that in the provinces here. Take Bradford for example in 2001. More than 300 police officers were injured. At the height of the trouble police had to call for hundreds of reinforcements from eight outside forces when 500 officers came under siege by up to 1,000 mainly Asian youths. The rioters were armed with petrol bombs, bricks, stones, sledgehammers, crossbows and baseball bats.
  15. Oh right and we'll all go back to listening to voices of the peoples like Billy bragg celebrating multi-racialism and unity from his mansion in Dorset.
  16. yes but they haven't hacked a french policeman to death yet with machetes so London is still one up on them.
  17. the country is on it's arse. I don't think there is anyone who would pretend they're rather dodge muggers in Manchester or Nottingham or Birmingham than live somewhere abroad much less multi-racially "enriched" like Rome.
  18. The trouble is that there aren't many original personalities in rock music anymore. Or people are bored with the usual standard hackneyed stories of excessive drug taking rebelliousness or run of the mill preaching from lelfties like Paul weller or Billy Bragg telling us why we must oppose the BNP and back whatever trendy cause.
  19. No you're missing the whole point. he's left England because he doesn't like the immigration explosion here. 400,000 brits do likewise each year with estate agents in France citing the reasons given to them as being that the emigres are looking to escape multi-culturalism in Britain by immigrating to more mono-cultural environments in Europe.
  20. he's a bit like John lydon really in that they have a politics all of their own and a way of putting things which are unique. It might be something to do with the Irishman not quite English outsider. To some extent Morrisey even has a sexuality of his own. Life needs people to actually say things outside of the box more. Reading his interview what he's saying is simply right. Why should nostagia for lost Englishness or concern about mass immigration just be the preserve of rightwing fox hunting tories with everyone else just expected to be blandly politically correct?
  21. A lot of his songs celebrated Englishness though with some ambiguity, he did actually sing we're the last true generation of Brits you'll ever know and said most black music was blank
  22. yes an immigrant explosion is the only way of describing what has happened in this country which has changed this country much faster than any other. The 48-year-old added: "Other countries have held on to their basic identity yet it seems to me that England was thrown away. And today Britain is just a memory
