  6. Dobbies at Chesterfield are good, but pricey. Wards at Coal Aston are good , less pricey than Dobbies. New Leaf at Dyche Lane are also good.
  7. Any garden centre will have a selection of garden furniture.
  8. One of our cats has had a stroke and is now blind. He was always out in the garden in the sun and we would like him to still do this, but in a safe environment, so we are looking for a cat run for garden . Thing is to has to be as cheap as possible as his treatment is costing an arm and a leg, and whilst he is still fairly healthy I will not consider having him put down. If anyone can point me in the direction of either a ready made run or some cheap sturdy mesh panels it would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I got mine from the DIY shop at Greenhill shops, nr Westwick Rd about £4 Infact we have a"twirly thing " now so you could have mine if you want to collect it. PM if you want it , actually got 2 you could have.
  10. I lived there for about 10 years, but then moved to the south side of Sheffield. When I lived in S5 I thought it was great, but because I lived there I couldn't see what it was really like, now when I go back over there I am glad I left when I did. No contest, south Sheffield every time. Sorry to those in S5, just my opinion.
  11. If it really is bothering you, get a signal blocker from Deal Extreme. Cost about £15 or so, saw them yesterday whilst browsing. Be useful on the bus home, would stop the people who constanty rabbit on their mobiles the entire length of the journey home .

  16. As title says, my mum is now in a home so we need a solicitor who, ideally works either on a Saturday morning or late evenings, and can visit mum & us in her nursing home. It is for advice and to arrange power of attorney. My brother does not live in or near Sheffield so cannot make a daytime appointment. Does anyone know of any solicitors in Sheffield who provide this service?

  18. Spot on, before the wonderful traffic scheme was introduced, Woodseats was mainly congested in both rush hours and school start and finish, but OK the rest of the time. Now even on Sundays it is terrible. The previous council (Lib - Dems ?) were going to remove the bus gate on Meadowhead, maybe if they get in next time they will, who knows. As for Planner1 all his posts are pro council, and does not believe ANY council could possibly be anti-car.
  19. As far as I am aware, upstairs at Barnsley Market there is still a pie and pea cafe, that is all they sell. Theirs are pork pies, served with mushy peas and gravy (if you want it). Not been to Barnsley for about a year so it may have gone, but it has been there years. Very nice, not pricey and usually full.
  20. Spinning wheel classics at Sheepbridge, Chesterfield ( just beyond Dronfield on A61) Got a website too
  21. I'll second that, very thorough, reasonable and all round top bloke. Done some work on two of my cars, can't fault him.
