  1. I'd like to thank Karl for coming yesterday. And chipping my two girls. Very pleased, both done £8 each much cheaper than elsewhere.
  2. Hope user ewak can confirm, as i was walking on London Road last night I saw a poster in a (larger) shop giving the impression Amigos would be moving into it. I hope this is true, anyone else seen it ( it is in what was the 'pretend' Wimpy).
  3. Thanks for that katkin. Been looking and think I've found one, so after pay day will order it. Yep Maus are pretty amazing, got lovely personalities these two, very affectionate.
  4. Done both cats now, easier that I thought. Does anyone know of someone who could build a cat run, not too dear. If you do please let m know.
  5. Contact the council (not sure which department). When a large carpet shop opened on the end of our road, the residents were informed what times deliveries could / could not take place. I imagine there would be the same for other shops, worth a try if the vans are annoying you.
  6. I agree, no need to sell booze 24/7. I'd oppose it, as I don't live too far away. The bargain booze didn't last that long, I know it wasn't 24/7 but doesn't seem to be a call for cheap booze around there.
  7. If you can get there I'd go to Cannon Hall , the grounds are huge and a lovely place in the week to go. Not so nice at weekends as full of beer swilling tattooed types (and thats just the women !!) having bar-b-q's. lol
  8. yay mission accomplished ( 1 down 1 to go). Not too bad at all, gave Livvy a lot of fuss and I dont know if she noticed I was doing it until near the end. Only Ellie to do, hopefully as easy to do as this one.
  9. Can you not get a bike through the bike2work scheme? My hubby has had 2 bike throught this scheme. Ask if your workplace can do / or does this http://www.bike2orkscheme.co.uk
  10. They are beauties aren't they. Ellie has a problem with her tear ducts but it's more unsightly that anything, Liv is the bigger of the two and she has just given me the biggest scratch, unintentionally, so the clipper will be out tonight I think. Wish me luck (I should really change my avatar but I can't bring myself to just yet. That's my cat Domino who had to be put down earlier this year)
  11. is it these guys http://www.symphony-group.co.uk/ if so just call I'm sure they would tell you who the local stockist is. But I have heard Sheffield Kitchen Outlet are very good.

I managed to suss out photobucket and I have attached some piccies of my "girls". Both 6 yrs old Egyptian Maus ( silver as there is also bronze and smokey Maus, again very beautiful). Not built up the courage to clip the claws but I am going to give it a go ASAP.
  13. Thanks for the info everyone, I will give it a go over the next week or so. I would post a picture of them Moonbird but I havent a clue how to. they are very pretty cats, and very vocal, but it isnt a meow. If I talk to them they cat talk back.
  14. Just got ourselves 2 lovely Egyptian Mau girls and I noticed there rear claws are a bit long. As they are indoor cats they wont get worn down as they should so I wondered if there is anyone who does this at your house or where to have it done near to Woodseats. thanks
  15. I go to Creator, i wouldn't go anywhere else. I have Clare (Adams, must use surname as 2 Clares there) I think she comes under Artistic Director, cut n blow £47.45
  16. Sorry but P & M closed down a few weeks back. Not near Woodseats I know but I've used Real Electronics, S9 Very good and reasonably priced
  17. We would like a small caravan. We have seen a number around that we like the look of ( if not the price), but Other half being a man is concerned that our car isn't big enough to pull it. We have a Hyundai i30 CRDI. I think a 2berth could easily be pulled ( having seen smaller cars pulling them), is there anyway to find out what could/ could not be pulled. Many thanks.
  18. Thanks all of you for your kind words, its still quite raw at the moment but I hadn't even considered fostering. Maybe in a short while I should think about it as the house seems quiet without the cats. Might be in touch later this year magsie.
  19. I would like to thank Peak Vets for the way they helped us with both our cats. One went blind and the other had liver problems. Unfortunatley we had to make the heart breaking descision to euthanaise them, our blind cat wasn't adapting too well and the other started to poo blood, just after having his brother put down. So in the space of a week we lost them both. Alyson & Nigel helped us through the process and we will definatley use Peak Vets again when we/if we decide to get any more pets.
