  1. What amazes me is the small group of "stuck up wannabe posh " ( last years year 6 ) Mundella mums that chose to send their kids there. Just shows how much they care about their childrens education.
  2. Whenever a topic about the paranormal appears the non believers attack the poster with the same old story "there's no such thing as ghosts " . They then go on to verbally bully everyone who either has an open mind or is a believer . I had a ghost in my previous house. Having never believed or had any interest in the paranormal before moving there. I saw an apperition of an old lady several times over the years. My son ( who was six when we moved in ) also saw her and a number of ghost cats. I can't prove it nor can the non believers dis- prove it. Ramrod was stating what sounds to be a terrifing expirience , he didn't post on here to be attacked again. I find this thread really interesting . It's a shame some have to spoil it for all with their "strong arm " attitudes. I had two aunts who were nursing sisters at Middlewood and i can remember them telling my father of the "strange things they witnessed especially on night duty.
  3. We had a ghost cat in our old home . Saw it quite a few times along with the old lady who lived there. Didn't believe in ghosts until then. She used to let all the neighbourhood cats into the house and feed them.Seems like they didn't want to leave . Must say it did used to frighten us.
  4. The council are USELESS in dealing with decent people being harrassed by problem families. It costs them too much money to do anything about them . They would rather "sweep things under the carpet" to avoid spending money on dealing with anti social families. If they do have to act they rarely support the victims . I have had first hand expierience of this. The best piece of advice given is to take representation with you . Make sure you stay calm and dont interupt . You will have a chance to speak. Put the main points first and try and back up any evidence you have. Good luck.
  5. I lived on the Arbourthorne for four years. The majority of the neighbours were fine . Good decent people. The problems are with Sheffield homes and their inability to deal with the families that cause trouble. One family thought they "ruled" the road. They all caused numerous problems including burgulary , car crime and intimidating neighbours. They brought along friends who did the same. That esculated the problems for the area. Sheffield homes move evicted people from area to area . Until they deal with the problem families properly every council estate in Sheffield will suffer.
  6. I used to live near Kenninghall. I moved away . Not a place i would ever live in again. Anti social behaviour wise its bad.If you can afford it look elsewhere.
  7. When i lived on a council estate in Sheffield the majority of the neighbours were fine. The minority are the problems and Sheffield homes are USELESS in dealing with anti social behaviour. It costs more money to get the problems dealt with than to move the victims .This happened in my case , i ended up moving 190 miles away to start again . I was settled in Sheffield but through no fault of my own was moved because it was easier for Sheffield homes to deal with. The problem neighbours as far as i know are still there.
  8. Is it quiet down at the garage now ?. This old tread has appeard again to drum up business.
  9. I wish my manager was culled. I had only been in the job a month when the work dried up all because of a useless co-ordinator. The company as a whole are useless.Decent people being employed for a month , then discarded as the managers frightened of being shown up.
  10. No bad driving mate. The original clutch lasted me 6 years . The clutch centre in London said oil was inside and he was surprised it lasted 150 miles.
  11. I would't plug them. They put a clutch in for me that only lasted 150 miles and then completly burnt out. They was not helpful and the woman was totally rude to me . They refunded the cost of the clutch but with emergency hotel bills , a ruined weekend wedding and the cost of a clutch in London i was £450 down. They promised to see if the clutch manufacturer would pay compensation and i never heard from them again. To say they are a R A C approved garage is saying something.
  12. I never believed or had an interest in the paranormal until i lived in my last house. The place was haunted . Both me and my son saw an old lady about the house and the feeling on our stairs was awful. We had our house blessed twice , things calmed down for awhile . We have since moved and am glad to say our new house has a lovely feel and i haven't seen or felt anything here. Imo get intouch with Sheffield Cathedral they will point you to someone who will help.
  13. Only one for me Bruce Springsteen's The River... Drive all night is amazing.
  14. Stephen was my favourite in the group. Back in 1999 i was driving past the channel 4 building in London when i spotted Boyzone crossing the road in front of my car .They stopped in the middle of the road to let me pass. I was so surprised to see them i drove straight at them, scattering the boys in all directions. I stopped to apologise , they were all laughing and i got a hug from Stephen . R.I.P and god bless.
  15. I called Yorkshire water regarding this today . I told the girl who answered the phone that no one has been near the site this week. She said she would contact the contractors hopefully it will be finished this week.
