Our five a side team has been trying to get a keepers for ages with no luck. We play at goodwins at 6.45pm on a monday night. It doesnt matter how good your are, we just need a keeper. Please:(

I think the key thing is getting people to volunteer in something they are passionate about. I volunteered as a student at hallam uni. I did it to give something back to the community and as a booster for my CV

Hi lads. Sorry I haven’t been on here for the last few days but had a hectic weekend. That’s really good ron blanco, will be good to start playing competitively. Reginald D just need everyone to have a think about kit now. We will need one soon. I guess we will just have to wear bibs for the first week or two while we get ourselves organised. I will be getting there about 6.45ish so I will be waiting in reception for a bit and will make my way down to pitch 1 when people start arriving. It will probably work out about 3 quid each again. Bring an extra bit of cash if we need it for the league application etc. Looking forward to it! See u later

I was looking in Four Four Two and found pro-direct soccer online. They do Nike and Adidas shirts from about £10 up to about £20. They also do printing for £2 a number and £2 a name. We could all order our own shirts? Just another idea to throw into the mix.

i would like to do something along those lines as well. as long as everyones up for it. Hopefully it wont be too long until we can start playing in the league. The other thing i was thinking was about a keeper. Is there anyone who particularly wants to play in goal? If not we will have to sort something out.

Yeah I really enjoyed it to. Thanks to everyone else who turned up Reginald D, Painted White, Ron Blanco, Ben G, J-Boy and Richard. I thought it was really good. I was quite surprised at my fitness levels, the gym has paid off! As ReginaldD says, once we have played together a bit more I think we will be sorted. It was quite hard to get a rhythm going playing 4 on 3 but I think we did really well. I think by the time the league starts we could be looking quite good. We have got the first 7 names down for the league and the maximum is 10. And we have also got the same pitch booked next week. Things are looking good. I am really pleased things worked out, I cant believe I did! Roll on next Monday! Cheers Lads!

yeah we have m8. I think ron blanco said that we are down but we are waiting for the other places in the league to fill up so we can start the league. So i meant if the league was nearly full we might not have to book a pitch next week as we might be playing. More likely to be a week or two i would say. Ron Blanco is the man in the Know!

Looks like we could have about 9 coming so far. So just under £3 pound each. As i said before if it goes well tonight, we could book for next week and also find out if they have filled any more spaces in the league so far.
