  1. My own torrid experience with bt open woe is that I wont ever have a bt product if I can help it ever again. Within weeks of being a bt broadband customer I ended up emailing the director of bt retail broadband to get my issues sorted as the Indian call center just past me from pillar to post. Id love cable broad band if it was in our area. As it isnt after my experience with bt, I went with Be there. Been with them 4 year now. Not fair use policy. I started with a 3 month contract that just rolls on so not tied to them and my line speeds against bt are massively different. Used to get 3.5meg with bt max, I get 10meg on the same phoneline with be there. If bt and virgin etc are so good, why do they need to lock you in with an 18month contract ? If they are any good, your not going to want to leave. Pipex years ago when broadband first started with 512k was the same. Stayed with them on a 3 month rolling contract till the director/owner Dave Rikards sold out to gx networks a few years down the line and the service went down the pan. Paul
  2. The panasonic tz7 or tz8 have very good video recording in hd720. Not sure if the tz8 does 1080p now. With the huge optical zoom of these cameras, they make very effective camcorders Paul
  3. The bargain of the century has got to be the Orange San francisco. Fantastic phone for 89 quid. Touch screen, gps/ assisted gps, bluetooth, fm radio, 3.2megapixel camera, 2gig memory card included etc etc Battery not massive but the phones brilliant. Gave my wife my iphone 4 and i bought one of these till the dual core phone I want is available, but the orange san francisco is that good, im not in any rush to take my upgrade. A site worth looking at to network unlock it and upgrade the roms etc orangesanfrancisco.co.uk This phone really is a gem and at 89 quid I paid, im not going to be crying if I drop it Paul
  4. Htc desire hd is a nice phone. Very poor battery life as its tiny. Build quality on the htc desire hd not brilliant. Gap where battery cover fits. Samsung nexus S or thr galaxy S are cracking phones as is the htc desire. Ive read that turning on usb debugging mode in settings improves battery life. If your not in any rush, take a look at the latest dual core phones coming out over next few months Paul
  5. If your not in any rush take a look at the new dual core phones that are coming out over the next couple of months. Htc pyramid htc evo 3d Samsung galaxy s2 and a few more to name. I think the samsung or the htc pyramid / sensation is going to be the top phone of 2011. The wildfires not a bad phone but as someones previously said, you could put a custom rom on it and root it. Though if your not really teccy, ask someone else who does know how to do it or you could end up with an expensive paper weight. Paul
  6. Can anyone tell me if the roads passable through killamarsh and onto pebbly ponds up towards van dykes. The a618 i think ? Thanks Paul
