no they didn't they regenerated the areas....they didn't throw cash at us...like they are doing now....didn't see out of work miners/steelworkers standing on street corners...on a freebie...like we see in page hall.... so don't tell me what it was like...i know i was there....were you....in 1980....

they all wanted a free ride....why not stop and fight to re-build their union...not doing too bad now in russia....while we are picking up the tab...how many people over here lost their jobs in the 80s....where was our hand outs then.... we just changed course and sorted ourselves out....

as i see it the EU is to blame...it welcomed all the eastern bloc countries in with open arms...whether they would contribute or not...it was a cheap shot at russia....now the countries in europe have had enough and are all fighting the immigration card...while russia see the grab for ukraine as the final straw and are fighting back..... if people want to come here to graft fair play....but with them come the baggage....and that's the problem...its causing grief...so if opting out of the EU....is the only way to restore the status quo...then we should leave....

i know the difference between the slovak and slovak roma....the first came here to graft and make a better life...the latter came here to scrounge...how do i know that...the lads at the car wash told me...ask them what they think of their fellow countrymen/women....

but countries are scrounging off it....the EU don't need all these countries...get rid of them and more for us....as for putin the EU upset him by grabbing all those eastern block countries...now he wants his ball back...and has spit out his dummy....

tell that the people of page hall and the other places they have blighted....its not just about that...all these countries joining and putting nothing into the pot...europe should be like the premier league...only the top countries allowed in...you don't contribute you aint coming in... let putin have the eastern block back for starters....and the lovely roma...they'd love it there
