  1. No...you are a woman and therefore would know nothing about things like this
  2. ebay.. should arrive in a couple of days if thats not too long to wait http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Thermal-Cotton-MOTORCYCLE-BIKER-BALACLAVA-2-EYE-HOLE_W0QQitemZ220499296247QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_3?hash=item3356c83ff7
  3. The last guys were great... got the place buzzin at the weekends.. had plenty of good nights up there especially when "The Crashers" were on. The Pubco wanted to up the rent and them to sign up for a 10 year lease... they said 5 years was the maximum they would sign for... the Pubco wouldn't have it so they left. Good luck to the new Landlord/Landlady.... youre gonna need it
  4. The crossing that was already there was ok... i've worked in the area for 10 years and never known a problem or accident. Time will tell but i can see it being chaos in the winter when the students are back.
  5. Coming off Brookhill roundabout on to Broad lane.....use to be 2 lanes all the way down to where you can turn right on to Mappin Street. There is a pedestrian crossing half way in between which seemed to work ok until the highway dept (or whoever it is) decided to look at it and thought "how can we make this worse" or "how can we make Brookhill roundabout worse" They have now blocked the second lane off and put an extra traffic light on an island there. So now when you come off the roundabout you have 2 lanes going in to 1 for 5 yards then back in to 2 carrying on down to the Mappin St turn. As anyone who drives around there at rush hour knows, the roundabout is bad enough without slowing traffic up leaving it. Broad lane traffic backs up to the roundabout now at busy times so it will only get worse. Well done to whoever came up with this "masterplan" IMO they are making the traffic get worse so they can turn round and say we need a congestion charge.
  6. Makro still sell them... boxes of 36 or 48 though... but if you like them go for it!! I got some about 4/5 month ago... also bought some cheesy moments 2 x 24 and scampy fries 1 x 24 no wonder my belly is big!! :hihi:
  7. Absolutely bouncing down in city centre and has been for about an hour now... be traffic chaos as usual and quite a bit of flooding Not known it rain this hard for so long for a good while
  8. If the bikes were red and (Yellow i think) there were two at the top of Fraser Crescent early this morning.. looked dumped.. but couldn't be sure as i passed quickly.
  9. I have just gone on to Tesco Mobile which runs on the back of the o2 network...Never had a problem with o2 in the past with coverage and hasn't changed with Tesco. Although i'm only on PAYG if you top up £15 a month then they treble it to £45 or top up £20 a month and they will Treble it to £60... Call charges are 20p/min at all times and texts are 10p although you can have 5 Friends/Family numbers which cuts the price of those calls to 10p/min at any time and texts are 5p. I'm only a medium user and generally phone/text the same few numbers so £15 is ample for me.. however the extra credit is a very good just in case. *please note..i DON'T work for Tesco but don't mind advertising them cos its a very good deal IMO
  10. Super-vider.... thought that was a mop!
  11. EXACTLY!! the government should have set a minimum standard for air extraction in these pubs/rooms. I hated smoky pubs but some (wetherspoons for example) usually had very good air con and never got the stinging eyes etc in there.
  12. where he was expelled for drinking, smoking and generally making a nuisance of himself...
  13. Agree with that Rich.... also forgot the smoking ban.... some pubs are busier outside than inside..... Complete ban was ridiculous... should have been a compramise (spelling). I am not against a ban btw. However smokers were kicked outside in to shelters that could only be covered on 2 sides so they can't escape the cold wind. They should have either allowed a proper 4 sided shelter outside for smokers. Or have smoking rooms in pubs where it was feasable. Or let the pub choose whether it wanted to serve food or be a smoking pub and give people the choice. Where are all the millions of non smokers that said they would be in the pub once the ban came in to force??
  14. Paramedics park there too... just suppose its a good central place to park to respond to anything with the city.
