  1. Does anyone know anything about electrics? I turned on my dining room light and all the lights cut out, as they always do when a bulb goes. Usually I just switch them back on at the mains and carry on using the light and other lights without a problem until I get round to changing the dead bulb (all the lights have more than one bulb). THis time though, it kept on cutting out all the lights every time I tried to use it. Then I took some bulbs out and tried it again and it didn't even cut all the lights anymore, it is just dead now. I've tried varying bulb combinations but it won't work. All other lights and electrics are fine.
  2. No its not! I miss this place.. twas the only place iv ever known that did all you can eat curry on a saturday night.
  3. Hi, whilst this thread has been brought to the forefront.. can i just ask if anyone has any experience getting hair extensions in Sheffield. I am after some so my hair is long for my wedding. Ive thought about clip-ins but would prefer something more permanent so i can have it styled. Im after somewhere who does them for a reasonable price and im not bothered about having 'the hair of a russian virgin' or whatever rubbish they come out with to jusify charging you extortionate amounts of money! Ta xxxxxxx
  4. I put up with it quite easily... cos its not actually happening!
  5. Dont buy it! it kept me awake at night for ages worrying about the possibility of nuclear attack, it all seemed so real, even though the special effects are rubbish. Good film though.
  6. When i get my post before 3pm, that'll be the day ill tip 'em.
  7. Dont think many people had an excuse today! Public transport has been fine (apart from a few cancelled trains!)
  8. The 97/98s are only running to abbey lane at beauchief and arent going down as far as totley - although dunno why cos i caught one from totley this morning, so it was obviously do-able. Maybe to keep them running to time.
  9. Tesco Express on Abbeydale Rd South is open, but packed. No bread left but plenty of milk.
  10. Ordered from there once - food wasnt nice and we were sick that night, so it put us right off! Shame too cos it looks really nice from the outside!
  11. Just wondering how many made it for tonight show? Was supposed to go but had to turn back cos of the weather. Rang them and they said it was definitely still on, and no refund available.
  12. What other reason is there for a paramedic to hide on the island of a busy roundabout in rush hour?
  13. Do the police ever disguise themselves in a paramedic's car to catch you out?
  14. Does anyone know why there was a police car hidden away on the actual island of the Park Square roundabout this morning, about 8:15am? Was it a speed trap? It looked like an actual police car, not a marked camera van. I ask because I rushed through an amber light at 36mph to get to work on time to pay the taxes that pay policemen to sit around trying to catch me out.
  15. Just to let you know dogs are a bit risky. Ive got dogs with a cat and the dogs just torment the cat all day long, chasing it, barking at it, going mad every time they see it. At first the cat just ignored them and spent most time outdoors avoiding them but now shes started getting her own back by scratching them and winding them up by walking in front of them all the time. Not good.
  16. This person probably had some kind of psychological problem. I know its really annoying and the guy who bumped in to him must have felt really mad and puzzled, but trying to understand why the person did this makes people more tolerant.
  17. In summary: They give you laxitive to clear the bowels out tha day before- then you lie on your side, they shove a probe up your rectum which is attached to a bag of liquid barium and an air pump, they run the liquid into the bowels via the probe then air is pumped in there aswell. You clench your bumcheeks and hold it all in for about 20 mins and move around a bit so they can take pretty pics, then you go let it all out in the conveniently situated toilet next door.
  18. People who dress up as things - this includes mime artists (*shudders*), clowns, those HORRIBLE people who dress up as animals or characters for publicity or 'entertainment' purposes or people dressed as historical figures. It should be made illegal. It causes me great distress and terror when i see anything like this, which leads to embarassment. Mime artists are the worst. They go against everything that is natural and safe. There is nothing entertaining about this. It is odd - and VERY scary.
  19. Fake Tan Report Update: Boots own make moisturiser/fake tan is NOT good. Very patchy. Just thought I ought to do my duty and let you all know.
  20. Yes, i find that im allergic to just one cat. It has fairly short hair but it does spend a lot of time outdoors so i wonder if it comes into contact with some sort of pollen or plant that sets off an allergic reaction.
  21. The Dove one is good I can definitely recommend it. At the moment ive got Boots own make moisturiser self tan stuff cos it was BOGOF. I put some on earlier and its a lot greasier than Dove. I'll report back with the progression of the tan (if i remember). It was 3.99 for 2 bottles though so cant complain.
  22. I was just going to say cos the bible is a load of Bull**** but you put it much more eloquantly!
  23. There are some really strange programmes on bbc3. Nighty Night for instance. Really weird.
