Anyone remember bents green school

i also whent to bentsgreen school and it was a bording school as well u staid there from monday till friday i would not say we were deicate but most of us were delinquents lol it was a good school we whent horse riding every tuesday -
do u remember these teachers Mrs murry along with mrs cross Mrs bell mr bennet Sister Marie varonica miss barge mrs carngorme the few i remember in my class was josaphine . sara askwith marie spears we all whent to the same school up till leaving the school in the 80s near our last days at the school we all whent to mr bennets flat for a party were have they all gone both puples and teachers:(

Whatever happened to the Alf Van?

o my god me and my sisters were talking about alf and when we used to get sweets from him on tick untill my mum found out that was on chaucer close mum used to go mad with alf for selling us the sweets which would run into nearly a fiver at the time lol the fletchers van was only good for elephants feet and bread alf was nice cos u could get stuff off the tick like luckybags -
he used to come on his bicicle with his pikelets and scones onto remington road and mum used to send us out to get his pikelets which non can compare with even till this day there was non to beat him that was back in 1974:):

i whent to yewlands school from 1981=82 i remember having to stand in line for school dinners and do hocky and wood work i was not there long as i acidently blew the sience lab up

i was at bentsgreen school and lived there for a number of years yes it was haunted by a lady in white and a small boy aparently it was were they hung people but i can not be to sure if it was just storys the house mothers made up to keep us in our dormatorys

The hole in the road with the fish and boots the cemist and the drunks i remember it well everyone used to meet up there the fishtank was enormouse i have always wondered what happended to the fish ? i went there on a school trip and got lost lol then when i was older i used to meet my mates there it was a shame they covered it up wish they would bring it back:hihi:

you got the blue jeans the brown or black shoes school uniformes were a night mare we used to get ours up near the pig and wistle i remember the parker jackets we got one every year

i started going there in 1976 with my friend marie spears it was the highlight of our summer and it was always packed those were the good old days -

i have lived in parsoncross for 37 years first on remington road when there was collyschool and st peters then i moved to fulmearcresent then we moved to chaucer close oppersit st cecilias then back to holgate cresent i whent to st thomas mores then yewlands school also st peters from 1975 -1986 and at margetson shops were the chip shop is was an old sweetshop were you could get a lollypop off the old man if you fell down my mother worked in collyschool as a cleaner. Being at st peters in the early 80s was fun we used to have fights with collyschool god we had to were green uniforms yuck can anyone apart from me remember the ram that they used to have at collyschool as me and my brother would sneak across with mums bread and feed it along with the halfpenny sweets we used to get on a sataday

i personally dont come from attercliff but my farther william nortcliff was born in attercliff all his family lived and worked in attercliff they lived on charles street were my dad was born
