  1. I never knew white gold changed colour or needed anything doing to it to keep it looking nice. I've had my engagement ring 41 Years and my wedding ring 37 years, and neither of them look any different now, despite wearing them every day no matter what. I'm a bit old fashioned in that I never take my rings off. The only thing that has happened is that the edge of both rings has worn a bit smooth where they have rubbed against each other over the years.
  2. Is it Black Swan Walk? It's somewhere round there I know. Can't help with the carving, not noticed that myself, but maybe someone else will know.
  3. My husband has suffered with these mouth ulcers for years and was prescribed this cream which he thinks is brilliant. Unfortunately it has now been discontinued and his doctor can only recommend Bongela Igloo, which she says is not as good but is probably the best thing he is going to get now, she even trawled through her medical books to see if she could get anything similar but no luck. He hasn't needed to try it yet, so I can't say how good (or not) it is.
  4. Sorry, my misprint, it was Aston Hall.
  5. NO NO NO!!!! My neice got married at Anston Hall in the marquee on the 17th Dec. The temperature was below freezing and the small heater in the marquee struggled to make even the slightest difference, and it was turned off during the actual ceremony as we were told it was so noisy, as indeed it was. I didn't think the marquee was particularly festive given how close it was to Christmas and the fact that a wedding was taking place. My neice enjoyed the day which was the main thing but it appeared to us as if Anston Hall couldn't cope with the cold, my sister was staying overnight and her room was so cold that reception had to organise exra heating. So I would say check everything and only if your happy with their arrangements then go ahead, after all cold weather in winter is not exactly unusual. Anyway, I don't want to put a damper on your wedding so I will just say congratulations and hope you have a lovely day wherever you decide to hold it.
  6. Hilarious, I love it. More please.
  7. I did the same thing, the topper is fabulous and well worth the money, but the pillow I bought, pfffffft!!
  8. Yes please, pint of lager, I'll be there in a bit, buses permitting.
  9. Thanks for your hard work *ash*, it must have took you ages. I'll be reading more soon.
  10. A happy and healthy new year to everyone. Hope it's a good one.
  11. Oooh Sister Mary Dennis, I remember her from my time at St Maries, She used to scare me back then. She must have been attached to that bat, because she had it then, (and used it often). Wonder what she would do now?
  12. Think we must have had the same dentist, the memories of that rubber mask left me with a phobia of dentists, which lasted for years after. And the horrible smell of the rubber mixed with the gas, even the taste of it used to get to you.
  13. Bags are not given away free, they are part of the store's overheads and are factored into the prices charged. If you dont want to pay for a bag, why not stick one in your pocket or handbag, it's no trouble as far as I can see.
  14. Love the photos, thanks for showing them.
  15. Haven't looked for any earplugs yet, so can't say whether they would work or not, the cotton wool certainly does though, (even if it looks a bit strange).
  16. My husband suffers ear infections and has been told the same thing about water in the ears, by our family doctor. She has now recommended ear plugs, the type swimmers use, or failing that, coat a biggish wad of cotton wool with Vaseline and place over the ears. Be sure to remove ALL the cotton wool though or you could make the infection worse. Hope you feel better soon Minimo, I know what my hubby is going through, and its not nice.
  17. Sorry, thats me, jumping in before thinking. I took it you meant you would be posting them on here.
  18. I'll never forget sleeping in them, or at least trying to. Squashing the pillow this way and that, to get comfy, but nothing worked. Still as long as my hair looked ok in the morning, who cared? never mind about the roller shaped furrows in my scalp!! No, I hope it doesn't make a comeback either.
  19. Me and hubby went today, very interesting, it was a little technical, but good nontheless. I didnt like the headphones either, but I suppose there was no other option since it was noisy in the works. It was good to see the work that goes into making the water drinkable, a nice morning out. And SiSiSi, why should it be a wind up?
  20. Thank you, Two more booked. Should be interesting, hope we can take photos.
  21. Baileys and Tia Maria for me, luverly!
  22. Thanks for that, I'll go and have another read of the manual and see what I can make of it. Might be back soon!
  23. Since I've had good advice before, here goes again. Can anyone tell me the guide number for a flash unit to fit a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50? I have a Metz Mecablitz with a number of 36 but when I connect it up I cant get it too work. So, do I need a different one or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
