In its prime the Ski Village raised some of the UK's best skiers and snowboarders. I dont know skiers, but snowboarders such as Paul Cooper, Rob Yeomans, Mark Hartley, Rhys Crabtree, etc....all top of the UK snowboard scene back in the late 90's early 00's. However, I do think that the Ski Village has had its day. The indoor slopes are now too accessable from here, why ride dryslope when there is real snow an hour away? I spent 4 years learning on dryslope before I moved onto doing seasons on snow, yeah it hurts, but so does solid ice! That said, if I was choosing now, Id go to the indoor slopes too, simple as!

Nobody else noticed that the line "and now you'll do what they told ya!" is repeated over and over in the RATM song? All these people who are trying to claim kudos from buying it are doing nothing other than lining Sony's pockets even more, and making me laugh at you.......you've all been suckered into it.......eeejuts! PS - Try buying neither, that'll hurt them the most!

Exactly Halibut, there is nothing they could have done without being stood inbetween her and the people going up to see her, which would defeat the purpose. Unfortunately, I think this incident could put an end to "up close and personal" book signings, etc... in the future. Typical story, one numpty ruins it for all the genuine people wanting to meet their idols.

It seems like a bit of a "come and have a go if you think you're hard enough" move by Iran to me. I've thought for a few of years that Iran would be the next place our troops would be heading, especially as we now have bases in Iraq to start off from. Do you think "if" it does end in war with Iran, North Korea will join them and this could be the start of World War 3?? Scary thought if you ask me!

Again, if your not a BT customer, pull it down! Then call them and say you have some of their kit which you'll SELL back to them as they put it on your property without your permission. I really hate BT!

Just pull it down. Whoever it belongs to will be along soon enough to fix it.....problem solved. Also, if it is BT and you're not a BT customer, tell them they cany attach it to your house. I hate BT!

For those of you who have named a child Oliver.....Shame on you!! Its not a nice name to grow up with. "Can I have some more Sir" makes me cringe! Its also a bit of a "weak" name. Ive shortened it to Ol now, the less the better.

I stopped at 23:30 yesterday.....be afraid.....be very afraid! No, only joking, only had one thought of needing a cig today so far which is good. Last few days I've only been smoking half a cig whenever I had one, couldn't stomach anymore as it tasted like I'd chain smoked a full pack....wierd, but good! Getting another prescription of Champix today as my 1st ran out yesterday. I've smoked for about 13 years full time now, tried stopping loads in the past, and so far, this is the most confident I've felt!

Why doesn't your mate get off his backside and actually go to the job Centre and ASK someone?? Better still, instead of spending time looking for how much he's going to get paid for doing nothing, why doesn't he spend his time searching for a JOB??

We have just had all of the upper half of our house renovated by MFD Design & Build Ltd. Mark has been an absolute legend, and has restored our faith in quality, professionalism and workmanship within the building trade after using some cowboys in the past (one off the forum actually, but that's a different story, he knows who he is)! We had the whole upstairs stripped right back to the brick work and re-done, new stud walls built and some walls knocked down to change the whole layout.......and it looks STUNNING! Mark arranged everything, including architects, and everything ran like clockwork. The only thing that really slowed us down was the snow, and even then, Mark was the only tradesman who made it to site, even after I told him not to risk it! Thanks again Mark, you're a star, we're already saving for downstairs !!!

Our two cats go to Atkinsons. John is fantastic! He really looks after them well and takes time from his day to spend it with the cats. Ours just came out after leaving them with him for 5 weeks while we had our house renovated and they seemed very happy and content whenever we popped up to see them. Definately come highly recommended!!

What makes me laugh is the fact that there are so many warnings, adverts, bans, etc.. in place for smoking.......so, where are the nasty adverts for obese people? Where are the pictures of a clogged artery or two? Obesety puts just as much strain on the NHS as smoking does yet obesety is publicly accepted! Now, before you all jump on my head, Im not defending smoking, I personally just stopped a week ago today. Im just saying that, why do you only pick on smokers, it's their choice to smoke as much as it is for an obese person to eat excessively and do no exercise! Espadrill - Its a mixture of everything your wrote down, but the main one you missed is addiction.
