Yes but are they so stupid that they wouldn't think that the police or (rent a mob might be waiting to smash their brains in)? Not suggesting that the police would use heavy handed tactics ofcourse.

Just because i may have a different point of view than the afore mentioned victim doesnot mean i cannot express an opinion which evidently nobody supports, that is ok by me, following sheep spring to mind here,or maybe i'm bahhhhhhking up the wrong tree. At least they paid me for the 3 days training i did at my last agency full marks to them for that and i would be happy to work for them again so not all bad

I was brought in a very disciplined household and when i was even 18 my mum would keep a tight grip on me, my dad once kicked me in the stomach during a visit to blackpool towerfor cheekily asking when are we having lunch? Mygrandad used to rule with a rod of iron always telling my dad when i touched something trying to make trouble for me so i don't miss him, my father was an intimidating person who wouldn't be shy at getting his belt out, the fear tactic certainly worked with me, i just think the lady is a target and i believe if these kids get done for this crime their mates will come round to her house and cause her more grief by extracting revenge. Just look at the recent events at Low edges where the same flat was targeted continously even setting fire to gas connections which could have killed someone, these people have a nasty habit of going back to the scene of a crime. Any person who is in the 70's wanting to stay in this kind of society must have a screw loose similar to the artist of this thread, sheffield is full of crime,grime and slime and their people seem to have lost the friendliness and community spirit which made it such a nice place to live now it is becoming like leeds and manchester cold and unwelcoming

At all 3 call centre jobs i was offered a contract for 13 weeks and if things had worked out i would have been permanent, the norwich union job i got through an interview direct with the employer, the other 2 were agencies. just a couple of points "beat it to spain" WHY SHOULD SHE! she has lived there a long time why should we lat these people take over!!! you think a single parent cant do the job of a mum and dad, well my daughter was brought up by me and i have never had any trouble she never goes out apart from the gigs she goes to she got brill grades at school and is off to uni, you cant stereotype people. Bully for her i guess everyone and their auntie is going to university these days as the grades are so cheap in A'level examinations, what i am saying is that there needs to be discipline from two parents to make our children understand the rights and wrongs of their actions, the fear has gone in our societies children they can do no wrong and then exclaim "whatever" or like i'm bothered, a few beatings will knock that arrogance and insolence out of them. It didn't do me any harm, and if i had a mother who had suffered this kind of predicament i would act first ask questions later, intimidation is the only language these scumbags understand. I saw 4 youths throwing stones at passing cars on jordanthorpe parkway today whilst driving out that way, how long do you think it would take for the police to come out? when an accident might have occured they were just laughing at the motorists.

Come on you people lighten up we have to accept society is grim if you don't like it .beat it to spain, this kind of nasty behaviour has been going on for decades it's just more reported in the media, i can't say i have much faith in the police to quickly respond to these kind of incidents but it's part and parcel of life and whilst single parents are the norm they cannot be expected to do the job of mum&dad, i feel for this poor lady and if i was her i wouldn't want to set foot in that house again. She has been targeted and now she will not sleep a wink worrying about their impending return, i would move to a lovely country cottage in the lake district if i were her because society in the urban areas will only get worse not better. The government seem to be on a different agenda and they are not concerned about the destruction vile young kids are inflicting on our society. I guess before long 1/4 people will have been a victim of some sort of crime in todays evil selfish self obsessed society. We are told what to eat what reality programmes to watch,subliminal advertising has a lot to answer for in which way we are shaped as little britains by our government. Why are we so passive why do we axccept the smoking ban so easily? surely there has to be a stand taken on knife crime let alone little old ladies being frightened in this appaling incident.

I have worked in a few i would like to know which call centres people could recommend too. I find a lot of agencies only want to get your details on their books then you never hear from them again, or at best you are offered a job immediately where they want you to start work tomorrow and then if you don't like it that's your lot.

I have tried 3 call centres crapita,snorich union and now mingy menzies, the latter was deffinitely the worst of the three, you don't get a morning or afternoon break, they don't schedule your dinner break for only half an hour and are told at a moments notice to go to lunch at 11.45 which is crazy as you have to work nearly 5 hours without a break there after. There are so many over weight unhappy people working there and the the manager looks like peter kay so that made me chuckle. When i was there last week in my training they just sat me with a call advisor and said observe, very little coaching involved. You have to work every saturday and be at your desk for 0600, there are no perks so i would give it a wide berth especially also in view of the location on the airport road. They don't do team briefs or huddles they had a meeting last week to inform all staff not to go on unauthorised toilet breaks or coffee breakswhichi think is petty. Some of the staff swear at each other and i saw people sticking two fingers up at colleagues, they might be in jest but it gave me the impression of an unprofessional enviroment. The agency which set up the placement was nice but i won't be looking for work with them again as they didn't explain to me about the drop in pay once you have been sellected and also the saturday shift at 0600.
