  1. I was in your position about two months ago when looking for somewhere for a relative, I looked at ten places in all, two of which are on your list. I agree that Holmwood is very good but the thing that worried me about it was that it is run by a large organisation (Southern Cross Healthcare). Two of the other homes I visited (Chatsworth Grange and Heeley Bank - also possibly in your area) are part of the same group but I felt they were very poor - so it seems to be an organisation that has very variable standards. In the end we chose Scarsdale Grange. My relative has been there for about five weeks, and it's a decision I'm still very comfortable with. Contrary to an earlier post, Scarsdale does cater for emi/nursing.
  2. Like you, I got a Ford key from ebay (actually just the remote blipper - for a Transit its seperate from the key) and that came with instructions for programing yourself. It was as simple as pressing the buttons in a specific sequence. Try searching on Ford/car related forums, it might be easier than high charging dealerships want everybody to believe.
  3. I got one for a Ford off ebay - there are loads on there. Paid £21 inc postage, it was the genuine article and brand new, also came with instructions for programming it to the vehicle. It works perfectly.
  4. It didn't,....but.... after a closer look at the info on the back of the router I found that 192.168.0.1 did. Your instructions followed and as you say... Hey presto. Many thanks.
  5. Thanks,.... I understand the problem, but I don't know how to achieve the solution.
  6. Can someone explain (to a computer illiterate) how to secure an unsecured network.
  7. You don't say which university in Sheffield you are coming to, but assuming it's the University of Sheffield (as opposed to Hallam) I suggest you get accommodation that is registered with the University. For poperty to be registered both it and the landlord have to meet standards set by the University. (I assume Hallam has a similar scheme). I've not got enough previous posts to be allowed to post a link but go to the University website and search for "housing finder"
  8. It looks like I'm going to be in the minority here, but my experience of this company has been mixed. I had a new roof about two years ago and whilst I agree that the quality of the workforce is very good - the management is sadly lacking. I dealt with the above mentioned Leroy and he didn't seem to have much of a clue. I think this company is more geared up to large commercial contracts than domestic work.
