Yes, they ALL charge ridiculous fees like that! We went to look at a flat in Kalham Mills the other day rented out by Sheffield Property Lettings (or something like that). She said to secure the flat we had to pay a £100 charge and then had to immediately start going through the credit checks, which cost £30! If they were successful then they wanted a bond which was a months rent plus £100 meaning it was £600! And all before you move in! I asked her what the £100 to secure the flat was for and she said it was normal thing to charge and it didn;t get knocked off your rent or anything, you just lost it for saying that you wanted the flat! RIDICULOUS! I've rented from Northwood before and they didn't want that, but tehy did want a bond and a deopist, so I suppose it's kinda the same. We're hoping to go privately this tie as it just costs so much to go through an agent. We had a flat at Danile Hill Mews with Pullan Homes and the day after we said we'd have it, they sold it someone! Nice eh? The only thing I can say about Saxton Mee is that they NEVER answer the bloody phone and take DAYS to call you back! They've also failed to turn up to 2 house viewings I've made with them which was more than a little annoying. It does seem that these people get paid for doing virtually nothing at all.

well that the uniform then comes into contact with the food. It's basic health and hygiene. Chefs aren't allowed to wear their whites out of the kitchen for the same reason!

I also find it pretty disgusting that when you drive into the carpark there are always about 6 members of staff sat around smoking in that trolley park just before you go into the covered car parking area! When i used to work in a supermarket you weren't allowed to be seen smoking. I think it's disgusting to see the deli worker/ fresh produce handler smoking fags out there in thier uniforms! I used to shop at Msons but I think it's really horrible now hence why I go to Lidl! Cheaper, quicker, better!

Went to Monsal Head and the pub was lovely. Just a shame that the woman behind the bar was really unfriendly and verging on rude! Won't bother going back there again! Went to the Fat Cat for the first time the other night - thats a proper pub! I just want that, with a view!!

My mum needs a decent aerial engineer in Belton, nr Doncaster. They called someone out from the Yellow Pages but he seemed to be a bit of a rip off merchant. I know its not really the right place to post this as its Sheffield forum but can't seem to find anything similar to this for Doncaster. Many thanks guys.

Ok, it bank holiday afternoon and I want to take the other half to a nice pub with a decent view for a few pints. I've been searching the internet and its suggesting Ladybower Inn and the Rivelin Valley (although some of the pubs there sound horrendous!). He's a realy Ale drinker so somewhere that sells decent ale, has a cosy interior and a lovely view.... any ideas? I'm in Hillsborough but I've got a car so don't mind driving a nice country route to go somewhere decent.
