I went to carfield school 1957 - 1961 remember Mr Philips He was the Science master as well as running the Camera club Mr Edlington was the Headmaster I played in the netball team and the rounders Team my best mate was Sandra Gregory she lived on Richards road We went to Annes Road school in the 4th Year and I broke my arm at the youthclub that we had on Tuesday nights I was appointed the Angel gabrial in the Christmas Play so I had a pot on under my costume my name is June Oldfield

hi kashud I had the privilege to work with your dad for many years I remember when the avenger was launchad it came on a lorry all covered up it was put on the cleaning bay and after speeches by management was uncover for us all to see it was covered in wax your dad started the steam cleaner and started to dewax the car after 5 mins he had to stop all the colour came off the car was put back on the lorry and taken back he was a true gentleman and a great man to know regard aj

if you went to Coleridge road sec mod in 1950/54 the little wemble was our football pitch and this was at ranskil road we had to walk down tinsley park road pass cutty meadows watching the men in the rolling mill at work the slatterd window what a great memory this brings back

hi stpetre mugs alley got it name from skaters who were just star ting and was a place to get better also a place to skate when dancers were doing there thing up stairs it had a largehand rail down the middle and a a great place to start to improve your skating skill

hi catkins the skating rink was above weberster 2nd hand furniture store and wa s owned by the travis family spent my youth there dancing on skates and later playing roller hockey for the srhc hockey team in a league all over the country also at all butlins camp harry Rhodes ran the rink and bernad deakins was the floor manager what great place to be when growing up good friends and lots of fun happy days regards aj

hi nomoney grow up on carltonville rd from 1939/1968 houses were good kept clean great people and community spirt look after neighbour good shopping area 4 picture houses live entertainment plus 28 pubs from weedon st to stanforth rd plus skating rink what a great place to grow up move my parents to Greenland rd but never the same still have a great love for the eastend and still think Sheffield is gods country

hi Marie was so nice to here from you and that you are ok, have read that book and it is a great read and brings back lots of memories I met Ann Sapcote at Banners and got a signed copy of her book there are a lot of good books out there about Carbrook/ Attercliffe and I have read most of them what a great place to spend a childhood despite grit and grime.
