  1. Happy-go-lucky..............I was so looking forward to seeing this but didn't rate it at all The only redeeming thing about this film for me was the actor who played the driving instructor - he was fab. I'd have to give it a 4/10.....I was actually bored watching it and that rarely ever happens to me with films
  2. Can anyone advise of a 'reputable' place to Buy a hamster from please? Many thanks
  3. Thanks for that link. Got meself some fine new bonus moves now.
  4. Never mind whether Tomorrow's World cheated us....it bored the bejayzuss out of me as a munchkin...even worse than Magpie.
  5. Loved Nick perving at that Britney look alike Poor Simon...he was often the only one with any common sense. What a sweetie. Nick and Big Mags were unusually highly vocal in their slagging off of Clare weren't they? And Sir Alan still kept her? Mind you he kept Katie Hopkins (spit) till the end............. Lucinda is just a Nanna in disguise. Give her a jumble sale to project manage and she'll be fine. I mean no offence to Nannas.
  6. Oooooo....who will it be tonight???? I've heard that Margaret throws that ginger witch out of the window in tonight's episode.....
  7. Johnny Ball. It's a light that's never gone out since I used to watch him do Think of a Number....sigh....
  8. Many many thanks to the lovely f_g for coming to collect the cat She's an absolute star and is the sort of person that makes the world a lovely place It's a long haired black and white cat; very thin; possibly blind I've posted on lost and found now
  9. I've just found a cat on Norfolk Road - it was just sitting in the road and would've been run over if I hadn't of picked it up. I'm about to start ringing round the rspca type places but wondered if anyone has any contacts I could call? I really can't keep it but can't turf it out either Help!!!
  10. Lambo - Hats off to you...........that's brilliant!
  11. I was proper impressed by your observational and memory skills Ash; no sarcasm at all. I wish I could remember things like that. I've often felt there's something not quite right about Francis - it must be the pen mystery. I'm going to be watching her like a hawk now. I suspect she's just nick in a wig anyways.
  12. I was allowed to play out with my friends until it got dark (this was in the 70s)....now I'm a parent myself and I can't imagine ever doing that... .....BUT I do allow my kids to have a bit of freedom and responsibilty whenever possible (eg going to friends houses that are very close by; talking with them what they'd do if they needed help or were worried when they are out etc).....I do worry about them not having the chances to make decisions and deal with possible risks in the way I had when I was playing out all day.... As a parent I want my kids to be able to understand and make decisions about risk - but do they get enough opportunity to do this? And what will be the consequences for the generation of kids that are wrapped in cottonwool?
  13. Can you imagine pointing that out to Sir Alan in the boardroom - like, hello, you haven't ammassed any more fortune since series 1.... Has anyone ever seen Nick smile? At least Margaret's got a little twinkle in her eye. Does anyone else suspect that there's some sleazy three-way action happening between Sir Alan, Nick and Big Marg?
  14. GRRRRR.....went to Klick in Meadowhall to have passport photos taken of my two daughters. Thankfully used the check and send service at the Post Office and was told that the photos were not up to the required standards. He even guessed where they'd been taken as he's always having to reject their passport photos!!!! ÂŁ10 down the drain; plus the hassle of having to get them redone and re-signed. I'd highly recommend Highfield Post office on London Road (or is it Abbeydale Road) - they take the photos for ÂŁ4 and are brilliant
  15. I got Snakes on a Plane off of Ebay. It was worth every penny just to hear the classic line: "Get this snake off my dick."
  16. Didn't he star in Carry On Screaming as the character Oddjob?
  17. I'm going on the Friday....:):)....all by myself mind seeing as no one else I know thinks they're funny
  18. My world's not the same without Dick and Dom...I used to get up early especially to watch them. Sad now.
  19. Which are the best multi-player Wii games do you recks? Super Mario Galaxy is fab, but it's not really for 2 players.....any suggestions??
  20. Thanks peeps - we went and got one today Genius! Loving it. Have got the Super Mario Galaxy game as I'd read it was fab....just doing the wii play games first to ensure I'm hot enough to play proper games! Has anyone got any favourite games they'd like to big up while we're on the subject.....?
  21. I need to get passport photos taken asap of my munchkins...does anyone know where does them? (I went to the one that used to be on the Moor today but it's now a restaurant and they wouldn't take a photo). I need to find somewhere where I can park for free - is there anywhere in Meadowhall/Crystal Peaks/Abbetdale Road/Ecclesall Rd that anyone knows of? Many thanks
  22. Was off work last week with poorly Munchkins. We watched Happily N'Ever After and thought it was fab (8.5/10); and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (loved it 9/10. Didn't like the sad ending though )
