  1. Its 38 pound a month thats for kickboxing and tkd its open mon-sat and u can do both everyday there is a timetable on the website. Its a weeks free trial and u get a free TKD outfit and belt (worth about 27 quid and insurance for the year is included so no extra money for that) There is other price guides cos there is a martial arts fitness class also so if u did all three that about £45 Master J is on holiday this week he is back on sun so if u want me to ask him anything give me a PM if your interested BarraGergus. Oh Chefkicker i have not given Wayne a good kicking yet as he scares me cos he is taller than me and he is a wild fighter but i feel more confident when fighting him than i did first few sessions ago but as i get better he doesnt hold back as much so its alot harder to judge how good he is or how good im progressing against him he has fast hands where as i have V.fast feet so when its hands or hands and feet sparring i get BATTERED lol i will get the SWEAT MASTER one day
  2. ok just to update this thread i started. I have been going to korean kickboxing for about 3 week now the place mentioned above and im starting to get the hang of it even my peers say im doing well which gives me alot of confidence as i have never really been good at anything that i consider to have a high grade of skill invovled So just to clarify so far i have been going 3 weeksi have sweated sweated and sweated some more but i see alot of progress due to the difference in sparring partners and techniques taught in both KKB and TKD as i could barley do anything before except get wacked. So anyone looking for a fun place to be learn Kickboxing or TKD i highley reccomend u try this 1st week is a free trial so if its not your cup of tea then no biggy but i love it and i feel and look the part in all my kit now all ages welcome from 5 right up to 105 its gr8. Danny!!! Run By Master J if anyone catches his posts.
  3. Started my first session on saturday as i was introduced by wayne (yorkie030) to the club little did i know it was so close to home it was great fun and hardwork which is what i expected since i have not done anything like this before. Recommend anyone give this a try the Korean kick boxing is hard but great and the family atmosphere is great as everyone is friendly. The website is http://www.cpft.org if anyone fancys looking up the site for further reference there is also pictures and timetables for sessions its open mon-sat 5-9 most nights. :D:cool:
  4. thanks yorkie i live at westfield so its no problem finding it i just needed a rough idea of where it is as that trading estate is pretty big i didnt want to end up going the wrong way cos i know there is a gypsy camp near there as i used to drive past it when i took my driving lessons.
  5. hey yorkie that sounds great its close by and its great cos i have not got alot of flexability with traveling to work and so on but this sounds great i could come when eva i was free so if i came tommorow afternoon would it be open. Is it easy to find i know direct cars very well its just im not 100% on where unit 8 was thats all is it nearer to the post office or round the back of direct cars its self. Cool free belt and suit and its reasonable too which is great ill hopefully see you tommorow if i can find it what time would be ok i dont want to interupt lessons.
  6. yeah thanks for the info everyone Chefkicker that would be great some times and session dates would be great also as i work silly 2 shift system so one week would be me working late nights which sucks for cos i bet most sessions are about 6pm onwards but weekends are always free for me so long as its mid afternoon.
  7. yeah checked your website out and the gallery just a few questions. 1. how much is it per session/lesson 2. Are there older people there as im like 20+ and there is alot of kids no offence to them i think its great im just wondering as sparring will seem a little strange against youngsters. 3.What would i need to bring clothing wise to start off with?? thanks Danny
  8. Hi i have been recently considering taking up martial arts again i did Karate when i was about 9-10 years old i got my yellow belt i was'nt pushed by my parents all my friends who went with me got really jealous cos they failed there kata's for the belt and i was left on my own eventually got bored and dropped out. Now the real reason for this thread is i saw a martial arts club on the Manor Top i think its been re-branded of some sorts i have seen it very busy on a saturday and just wondered if anyone had any information. Times, sessions price what martial arts that are taught etc etc any help would be appreciated thanks. I live at crystal peaks way so this is quite close to me but if any one knows of some where closer thats any good please post info same as above as i don't have a great deal of time for traveling as i don't drive so some where close would be great and convienent.
  9. hi i live at westfield near crystal peaks im 21 and got a 6month old baby boy and also looking for some sort of group that i can chat to other mums and so my baby can interact with other babbies just wondering if you had found any yet ? xx
  10. I was the same as your wife i felt pressured into breast feeding when i had my little boy 6 months ago, i never wanted to breast feed from the start and told them this at the hospital and before to my midwife but they wouldnt have any off it they forced me to do it, when i disscussed it with my midwife i did come round to the idea but after having my little boy by c section i couldnt really do much lifting etc and i wasnt producing enough milk as he was a hungury baby, after nearly 24 hrs my baby hadnt had a good feed he wouldnt latch on and was just screaming this really upset me and i was begging to the midwife on the ward to give me some formula eventually they did but i felt they was very funny with me like i was doing something wrong and one off the midwifes made a nasty remark saying we should start charging you for this formula it costs the nhs alot of money giving all this milk away. now i wouldnt change a thing and glad i put him on the formula he sleeps 12 hours at night and never been poorly touch wood lol and is a really good baby, my mates baby who is 3 months is breast fed she has 3 hours sleep a night and already has had chest infection, gasto problems so all that about breast is best and babies who are brest fed get less infections and better behaved i dont belive it 1 bit, tell ur wife she isnt a failure she just needs to do wat she feels is right and if she feels bottle feeding is best for the baby and her then good on her cos breast feeding isnt for everyone x take care xx
  11. hahah unicom never work there its a joke ashley the manager is a total nob he makes you feel stupid made me stand up on a chair and pitch for about 15mins, i left after a few days and i would never go back they keep sending me letters every month to go back but im not. on my 1st day 4 people just got up and walked out because the way ashley spoke to them i should of known on my interview what he was like more interested looking down my top than what i had to offer for the job, so please anyone out there thinking about working for them dont bother you get 5 mins training to look through a script then your put staight onto the phones trying to sell cheaper calls to companys and even after 3 days i still didnt no exactly what to say and didnt no what i was selling oh also if you dont get any appointments booked in from new clients you get threatend with the sack so stick to retail or what ever you normally do
