  1. When I moved to a new address in July I was given a new landline number. The number turned out to have previously belonged to a Sheffield pub/restaurant. They are still advertising that number on their website. I have tried to make contact with them by messaging their Facebook page and sending an email but have been simply ignored. I am getting calls almost every day from people trying to book a table, and even had one from Fire Service who want to arrange a fire safety check! I am at a loss to know what else I can do to persuade them to change the number, assuming they have a new diffeent number. It is very frustrating. Has anyone any suggestions please what else I might try?
  2. I believe in no god. My moral compass has always been, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I haven't always been successful because I'm just human but I have tried.
  3. Channel 4 I think. I might have a look as I never bothered reading about it in the press. Two daft women with too much money scrapping over social media rubbish. Yep sounds like a good comedy!
  4. Can we not all help with a donation, however small? I have been to the farm and loved it, and have just donated. Please help if you can.
  5. Quite a lot of snow overnight. Strange there is no mention of it on my weather forecast page.
  6. How very dare you use my photo without asking!
  7. I had a lengthy series of treatments there, all free. I didn't have to wait very long but it was pre Covid so I don't know what it is like now. I was extremely grateful to be accepted for treatment.
  8. Has anyone managed to phone Teller pub recently on a number that does not end in 83 please? I was given a new number when I moved into my new home a few months ago. I then found out that my number had previously belonged to Tellers. I get calls from people wanting to book tables etc. I have repeatedly asked Tellers to update their website (via message on the website) and just can't get anywhere beyond a plastic response. Telling them they are losing customers hasn't made any difference. I just don't know what else I can do to stop it.
  9. Thank yo,u it's all one can do isn't it.
  10. I too have cancer which is classed as untreatable and terminal. But it has been about 30 months since diagnosois and I count myself very lucky to have nothing happening. In fact I would never have known were it not for an ear infection. So I am following these posts with great interest and much sympathy for the posters who are indeed getting symptoms and problems. I suppose one day my turn will come and i would be lying if i said I wasn't worried about what is to come, but for now I keep it right at the back of my mind. My very best wishes to Leo and Cuttsie, and all who are suffering right now.
  11. The best way to make friends (in my opinion) is to find common ground. If you work that is a good place to start, but think of what things interest you and try and find groups/clubs/forums or anywhere else that you could join. Good luck.
  12. I was in Asda at Manor Top and never heard an announcement either. Nor did I notice shoppers stopping.
  13. Thank you very much. I'm lucky i don't have a car so that is not a problem for me.
  14. Thanks for replies. I wasn't convin ced by the passenger suggestion, condition of trams sounds much more likely. I actually don't mind the noise as it is more 'lively' where I am now compared to my last place which felt really isolated.
  15. I have just moved to a new place which is on a tram route. I am intrigued to know why sometimes trams pass with a great clattering noise but other times I barely hear them. Is there a particular reason why this happens? Someone suggested it depends how full the tram is?
  16. It is the female who always seems to be chewing gum with exaggerated open mouth that puts me off. And when it says no charges due to lack of evidence when the car is full of stolen goods that still have security tags..
  17. Does anyone have an up to date telephone number for The Teller please? Not the one on their website ending 83 but their new one.
  18. Yes spot on, we can all never be too careful.
  19. People shop much more carefully now, shopping around for the best prices. it won't be long before supermarkets start a price war to tempt back customers away from the cheaper outlets. It has happened before, so hang in there, and prices may start to fall at least a little. I make much use of my freezer by buying extra perishables if a good price and freezing them
  20. Thanks, I won't be around much for a couple of days as family are visiting.
  21. I checked mine the other day after watching the scammers programme on tv. Two data breaches were found but to be honest I'm not much wiser. I'll get the others to check as well.
  22. I started, some months ago, getting emails from my brother inviting me to 'check out these photos' Of course they were not from my brother at all. I never clicked on any, just deleted them. Now my sister has got in on it, also scams. My question is, is it my email address book that has been hacked or one of my siblings. Is there anyway of knowing and any suggestions how to put things right, if possible.
