  2. Do you know, its not so much the Income, but I do really feel over the last 5 years that the cash in the pocket has got less and less and I have just stood still, I have had "inflation" pay increases as well but its all the bills you can't do much about, Insurance, Gas, Electric, Council Tax, bit like Blair really we are spending £b's more on Health, we are spending £b's more on crime and do you really see a big diffrence, nope Its like some of these charties where some people say for every £1 you give only pennies get to the needed the rest been taken by the fat cats. To emotional - sorry
  3. Hi Darbees Sorry I was just stating some classic cars I have, hand me downs. But the car I am trying to Insure is a Peugeot 206 19TD
  4. I think the biggest problem, even controlling the media is that the Police methods seem to have lacked any co-ordination. Believe you me, even in this country you think we have free plus but when there is a major case the police try and control everything and to be fair, I should imagine the UK press play along because it is all managed fairly well. However, in this case the whole thing got out of hand, reporters, lacking any real control or brought in to the police inner circle just got on with it themselves, they started to lead the investigation. So I am sorry to say in this case I think the police management would appear pretty bad VWR
  5. I think they should go back to attaching small prisons to the larger Police stations. So local low level crime carried out for the first time by some young person, smashing a shop window, getting drunk and beating someone up (no weapons) You lock them in their own cell for say 5 up to 30 days in their local town but short, sharp shock. No mixing with harden criminals in their own cell looking at 4 walls. Also magistrates should work 24hours shifts so has the police pick them up he gets sentences at the station might be only for 2 or 3 days but not been able to go to work on the monday causes enough grief to think twice about being stupid but not so bad it causes the person to loose job or to mix in the real prision etc
  6. Hi evereyone, Just popped on the interent in my lunch, great feedback everyone. VWR
  7. Many of the sirens used during WWII were due to be taken out but then with the start of the cold war they were actually put back in to operation during the 60's and early 70's and were run by the police Also for a long time quite a few of the part time fire stations (many closed down now) used them to call in the part-time firemen. I haven't heard the siren you discuss here but is it a proper siren or some shop alarm related thing
  8. Hi Sarah Inbetween my post and your reply I went and investigate a few sites, I tried Confused but the first 4 lowest prices I could not proceed on or to be fair the details I give on one of them but try the Post Office R
