  1. We have just had a new kitchen from Purdys on Furnace Lane at Woodhouse Mill. I will never go anywhere else in future. Glyn there can tell you more about kitchens than all the people at mfi focus etc put together.
  2. Earlier this year I had a radiator moved. To do this it was necessary to drain the entire system, and while this was done I got the plumber to fit thermostatic radiator valves to most of the other radiators. For this he charged £15 per valve supplied and fitted.
  3. For manure for my allotment I get it delivered from a local chap who keeps a few horses. I would suggest looking round your local area to find something similar such as a riding school etc. I pay £15 for a massive trailer load
  4. I don't mind when "fright night" is, what I object to is the American practice of trick and treat. Hoardes of kids disturbing my well earned rest, in what is essentially the practice of a crime, namely demanding money with menaces !! Why do we have to be infected with all these American traits?
  5. Hi noodle Just to say good luck with your allotment. Unless you have loads of spare time dont expect to do it all at once. I've been steadily working down mine for almost 2 years and should finish this autumn/winter. Had great crops this year. For now try planting some carrots, beetroot, and lettuce. carrots and beetroot may not get very big but are really nice as "babys". Lettuce should grow quite quickly now
  6. I am an allotment holder, but sympathise with you completely. I have, on occasion, had fires but leave it until really late in the evening so as not to inconvenience anyone. Whoever it was should be ashamed of themselves!
