  1. now Im certian of that but good idea to get council out to it first. they surely still have documentation of the quarry still. and also might cause problems cos of the houses there up along side of the quarry and along the top of it. dont want to dampen your ideas cos is a great idea. but have to look at everything. will come and join in the meet with you all and hopefully I can be helpful.
  2. quarry may cause a problem. am sure there are tunnels under there somewhere. old shafts too I think but not 100% on that one. the tunnels I think are there. thats why no houses or house have ever been built on it.
  3. fair point. must have come in when things got a bit heated. Redrobbo though has a tough job and if he wants to keep it he had better try and do something or a least try and let some changes be seen to be made. Zebra however has said that she would need £150,000 for a decent property. You can get a lovely big decent house for a lot less than that. some may be ex-council houses but they can be got. do think that this thread getting too heated. good job its not in a locked room for I think everyone would be at each others throat.
  4. blondie blue don't speak ill of redrobbo. I did yesterday, on my first day in the forum and plain talker bit my head off. think they must be an item. Agree with you though. Plain talker keeps having a go at people which does not help the arguement of the state of Gleadless. zebra, bit of advice, it takes one person to start a revoulotion the rest will follow. how about you starting it iinstead of pleading for someone else to. you take the lead and the rest will follow.
  5. ok plain talker but I have not had a go at you so there was really no need to jump at me. and the name status may be different but they still seeking asylum and the do get council accom. but not going to argue point here. is such a debate though. a hot topic so to speak, with regards to gleadless. is amazing that so many people feel the neglect there.
  6. fair enough but THERE ARE asylum seekers in council accom in gleadless. that was point, not that redrobbo an asbo boy or that he brings the area down. you seem to think I did judging by your answer. i was merely pointing somehting out and you came down on me quite hard I feel. for no reason.
  7. redrobbo. have you ever been to gleadless? do you live there? cos then if the answer is yes you will see quite a few asylum seekers living there. unbelievable that the council say none are but beleive me they are living there. in maisonettes, in houses in flats. that just one point. the other being. gpsy you are 100% right in what you say there.
  8. without a doubt. Englebert HUmperdink, please release me let me go!!!!!! :hihi:
