  1. No, not really. Just would like somewhere with family entertainment .
  2. Does anyone know of anywhere (2 hrs drive max from Rotherham) where a family of 4 inc two 15 yr olds , could have a New Year break ? Centre Parcs is above our budget , likeliest at the moment is Butlins. We're looking for something with activities available to suit us all . Thanks .
  3. Hi Happy Hours , yes we went last night . A spokesperson came onto the stage and announced there would be a delay till 8pm , I think he cited "technical issues" but we also saw the ambulance . Decent show though .
  4. Good thinking Doom , can I also add Steelers are at home (Motorpoint Arena) on Boxing Day against the Nottingham Panthers, face off is at 5pm . Ticket prices are £16-50 Adult or £15 if bought in advance Under 16 £5
  5. What about the Childrens Hospital ? After frequent inpatient stays there with my son I know games consoles are very sought after by the patients. It would need PAT testing but I'm sure they would sort that.
  6. We went on Sunday , thankfully we were there for 10-30 so we had a few hours of peace and quiet before the "yobs" arrived . After parking up and setting our chairs and stuff out at the Watersports end of the lake , we chatted to various folk who like us were commenting on the state of the litter all over the place. Near us there were 2 empty bins !! After about 5 minutes half a dozen young men turned up with litter grabbers and bin liners . I went over to them and said " You've got your work cut out for you this morning !" to which one of the guys said " We don't work here love , we're members of the sailing club and we're as disgusted as you at the state of the place , the park aren't bothered but we are !" A big well done to those young men, although judging by the state of the place as we left at 4pm , their services might have been called upon today too ! Also to the not "so tough guy " who didn't like having his car photographed , maybe park a bit more considerately next time ie. not blocking ours in then decide to faff around and laugh with your posse of "yoofs" before moving it ! As my husband pointed out to you ....if we were as inconsiderate as you we could have moved your car ourselves........with our 4X4 and its bull bars !
  7. May be not , but it's a double header winning Christmas over our nearest and dearest ! Bring on Coventry on Thursday ! This post was sponsored by Echo Falls
  8. 2-12-10 Chat 'n' Chill Youth Group at Maltby Linx is cancelled tonight.
  9. Ice Sheffield is closed today , so doubt if you'll get an answer till tomorrow.
  10. Rotherham Milton School closed Wath Comprehensive closed
  11. First game of the Elite League season . Your very own Sheffield Steelers host the Cardiff Devils tonight , 7pm Motorpoint(Sheffield) Arena . Should be a burner ! anyone joinging us?
  12. So you would take time out of your annual leave to do training Corker? I would question the school's organisation though if they've only just rung to inform you of this .
  13. We'll try and catch this . My sons competed for GB in Philadelphia at Roller Hockey last season , we stayed in the same hotel as the Detroit Ladies Derby team . We didn't manage to catch their game but would love to see one.
  14. We had a fabulous stay there 2 years ago and we're off back at the beginning of June. Not sure what shopping you're intending to do , there's a Lacoste shop a perfume shop and some trinket type places that's about your lot unless you intend to go to Ciutadella . Meals and drinks in the bars in Cala n Forcat were more or less the same price as at home when we went. There was a lovely "English Chippy " we went to a couple of times during our stay which was excellent and pretty reasonable. At the other end of the scale there are a couple of very nice but more expensive restaurants .But it's really quite a small place , but we like it. There's a decent supermarket too if you're self catering which helps the budget.
