Ah that's rubbish! All the other chip shops in Woodhouse are <REMOVED>!

Does anyone know if Woodhouse West chippy has closed? I hope not as it is/was the best chippy around. I saw a photo on FB saying "Save Our Chippy" and last Friday when I went round it was closed and things have been taken out of the window. I can't believe it if it has. It has always done brilliant business with people queueing outside every Friday. Would be a great loss to the area.

It cannot be the pedestrian's fault unless it's on a motorway or dual carriageway that forbids them using it. According to the Highway Code pedestrians have priority on all other roads. Which means in theory you can walk into the road and cars should stop for you, obviously stupid to do this in reality but in the eyes of the law the car is usually at fault.

I'm thinking about buying a bicycle camera and mounting it on the top of my helmet as I'm sick of being cut-up, pulled out on and verbally abused by ignorant motorist while on the road. If I catch them going through give ways or speeding past me excessively would the video evidence be enough for the police to pay them a visit for dangerous/careless driving? Has anyone any had any experience of this? I'm sick to the back teeth of cars, on Stradbroke Road especially, giving way to cars at the traffic calming sections then just driving straight through when us cyclists come along and have right of way. Some even have the audacity to shout abuse like you shouldn't be there. Don't want this to turn into a cyclist/motorist argument. Just want to know if the police will act on the video evidence. Thanks.

Ahh but it's a very subtle flick I do so you wouldn't know it was me. You'd just assume it had flicked up from the road and probably wouldn't even notice til after you'd got home.

I keep a pocket full of small stones and if I see someone speeding/not stopping at a crossing etc I flick one at them and hope it chips their paint or window lol
