  1. Oh thats sounds fun, can hardly wait grr! Wonder if i can teach my son to throw something at the starers!
  2. i think the changing and feeding area downstairs is quite nice, they've provided a lovely chair for nursing mothers which you usually only see at mothercare! all you get at meadowhell is a hard plastic chair with no arms!
  3. AAARRRRGH I know exactly what you mean! I struggle to go out these days as I have a disabled son and a 5 month old daughter, NOWHERE is made for a double pram, he gets a wheelchair soon and I'm even more scared of that! And dont even get me started on the ignorant people who think parent and baby parking spaces mean 'for those too damn lazy to walk far even when they dont have to struggle with little uns, car seats, prams ect ect' grr
  4. i'm looking for ideas to make my wedding really christmassy! i'd like a venue for the reception (ceremony as well possibly!) somewhere cosy, near sheffield, and ideas for anything else! i'm considering asking a family friend to play santa claus and drop in the reception with little pressies for the kids, but any other suggestions gratefully recieved!
  5. quite possibly! lol! now if i was any good at gardening i wouldnt mind that....its just the thought of all the slugs in my garden munching on it....yuk lol
  6. LOL I saw my placenta for the first time after the birth of my third child - eewww! But for some reason we got talking about this to the midwife who delivered my daughter, and she was saying in all the time shes worked at the jessops shes only had one woman ask her to save the placenta, and that was to plant in her garden!
  7. my partner wont wear a waistcoat or any other typical wedding stuff, we've compromised so he's going to wear a plain black suit with either a white or red shirt with a red or black tie.
  8. awww wish i had a nice car like a beetle..........i just got a rover covered in kids toys and sweet wrappers lol
  9. it looks beautiful there, but maybe not the best place with kids in tow, glass doors, eek!
  10. i'm not sure what i'm going to have yet, guess it depends on the price when i start looking around! My partner is car mad though, especially for old 'classics' so i'm planning to hire a mk2 granada or something similar as a surprise for him! I read somewhere on here that someone contacted a classic car club and asked if anyone would hire their car out so I may go down that route.
  11. Because I'm worried that I'll get my heart set on it, then find out it will cost hundreds to have one made which I simply cant afford :-( I'll have to keep looking on ebay!
  12. oh cool, i'll have to look into that! Mind you, I'm guessing its expensive there!
  13. has anyone ever had a wedding dress made up from a pattern? if so, did it work out expensive, or difficult to find someone who could do it? i've found my perfect wedding dress but its just the pattern, not sure whether to have it made up or compromise and try to find something else
  14. yeah, deep down i know this! Its just my cousin got married a few years ago, and had the works, church wedding, reception with every obscure relative ect, and I'm just scared they'll get compared! Oh well!
  15. I thought of taking the kids, but our son is severly disabled which makes travelling with him a nightmare, we have a touring caravan to make things easier for holidays but I dont fancy a honeymoon in that lol, bit cold!
  16. these all sound ace! we're (well i am!) considering a weekend in new york. We cant leave the kids too long so somewhere for a weekend would be ideal and I've always wanted to visit, so its perfect. Plus it'll be christmas time and I like the idea of trying to get my beloved on that big ice rink lol
  17. where are people going for their honeymoon?
  18. does anyone know of any pubs with a decent beer garden which they allow the use of for functions? Even better if they'd have a bbq!
  19. yeah i know, most people would be fine as they're as basic as we are lol, but some of the people may not be too impressed that we arent 'traditional'. Oh well! Families eh?
  20. i'm starting to gather ideas for my wedding (hopefully next year) and am a bit lost as to reception ideas. basically my partner is the fussiest eater in the world and therefore a sit down meal probably wouldnt be ideal, as its his day too and i hate the thought of him not enjoying it. i thought about having an afternoon wedding and then straight into a more evening reception, with a buffet ect, do other people know of weddings where this has happened or am i likely to get dissapproving looks from all the relatives? Also I still like the idea of a top table and speeches, is this possible with just a buffet meal? Also, does anyone know of any venues which offer this as opposed to the big meal, with reasonable prices and a simple buffet menu choice (nothing too fancy basically!)
  21. tesco do plain ones in 3 different sizes, you could get those and the stands and decorate them any way you want
  22. my mums isnt very big either, i did consider asking a friend as his is huge, but sadly he's having a lot of work done and its like a building site, sob!
  23. thanks for the offer but i wont be planning the hen party for at least another year, i have a lot of saving to do!
  24. I love this idea! sadly our back garden isnt big enough to swing a hamster sob!
  25. My partner has recently proposed (after 8 1/2 years together I should think so too lol!!) and naturally I want to have a party to celebrate! I could do with some venue ideas, if anyone knows of anywhere suitable? Nothing too fancy, as we have 3 children, and very reasonably priced, in the North Sheffield area? Many thanks!
