  1. Hi, Did anyone out there ever see the Beatles in Sheffield. I saw them at the City Hall & The Azena. I would love to here your stories. When they where at The City Hall, we used to sit in the cheap seats, behind the stage, so we could run on stage and grab them. Paul was my favourite. We used to write to them at their home address's, and they wrote back. I have still got the letters. We would also phone them at the different theatres they were appearing at, and if it was a person to person call, the operator had to connect you to the right person. We did this a lot, it was great. Well happy memories.
  2. Hi Whiteley, Yes I know the names, but am lost about faces for them. I know Rene died in Australia, and it came as quite a shock. My sister Sheila was in the same class as Alf, so she will know more about him. Rene beat me in the final of a table tennis tournament once. She was always came first in all the exams, she was a lovely girl.
  3. Hi Whiteley, Thanks for reply. I know the name of your brother, but I can't put a face to him. I am 60 so we were probably in the same class. A girl in my class lived on Cottingham Street, her name was Rene Denial.
  4. Hi every one. I also went to Woodbourn Road School, but left in 1957 so am a bit older than most of you. We lived on Woobourn Road No 93 next to the Chapel. It was a great school, and I have many happy memories. Any one out there my age?
  5. re Elton John Tickets. Ring the Arena, because they keep a record of tickets sold. give them the seat numbers, and they can check who they sold them to
