I used to love my job (working for a fostering agency) but now I hate it due to the comapny becoming money grabbing. It's sooo unorganised and the kids are not getting the standard of care they should anymore. This has made me want to leave and I have sent of numerous applications and had a few interviews which I'm waiting to hear back from - but how do I cope in the interim? Another factor is that my boss is a real muppet and makes my remaining time even more awkward, because she's young and naive (I'm only 24 myself!) - any advice....? Thanks peeps

I think they do take outs mate. It's slightly pricey but well worth it. Probs best to ring 'em first their number will be in the Yellow Pages innit. Hope this helps!

I wonder whether it's worth us getting onto the council/police/local MP so we can get some proper guidelines on this. I think that eventually someone could get seriously hurt with roads as confusing as the ones in Crookes. It usually takes someone to get hurt before the council/police take note like with the Stocksbridge bypass.....

I suppose an argument would be that camera's would be expensive though

Hi folks I just wondered if any of you had any tips for interviews or things that have worked for you in the past. I have an interview on Thursday for a job I really want and as I'm out of practice have suddenly found I have brown trousers(!) Any pointers would be much appreciated.

That's barmy that Maxi - dunno what to say about that. I think if they had easily visible signs that said STOP FOR PEDESTRIANS AT SPEEDBUMPS (or words to that effect) then there wouldn't be as issue. Not that as a motorist I would be happy, but at least it would enlighten everyone.

hohoho I didn't think I'd actually swore Mr Moderator. Back to the original thread. I don't mind speedbumps - just not when peeps use them as crossings incorrectly - of course I'm gonna stop, I don't feel that strongly about it - but I think it's a pain in the colon that's all. I must say Crookes is the only place in Sheffield I have driven where speedbumps are mistook for crossings and believe it or not I DO think it's dangerous for pedastrians, 'cos all it takes is for me or Big Chief to legally go over one of those speedbumps, get some muppet pedestrian on one and bladow! But of course we always do the speed limit......(!)

Who in their right when speaking about shoes talks about 1 shoe? Of course I meant per pair. The thing is about these Asian sweatshops is yes they're sheeit, but these people earn their money like I earn my money and it's all about getting paid innit surely. Otherwise these people would depend purely on stuff like tourism from the west - so which is better?!?! If I choose to pay 'extra' because of inflated Western prices that's my choice. At least companies like Nike are actually putting money their way, they wouldn't have bugger all otherwise. Lastly, you get what you pay for!
