Sorry if this has been asked but I'm asking if you have to still pay the 10% deposit on a mortgage you get to buy a council house? I will be a first time buyer, and got offered my home for £40,000 when I've been on mortgage websites it asks to put in a minimum of 10% deposit. With the house been so cheap I didn't think I'd have to pay that. Anyone bought from council? Thanks

I was working 2 part time jobs. One job my tax code was 1000L The other was 2500 I quit the job of 2500 about 5 months ago, but my tax code on the other job is 1000L still. I thought it would automatically change when I quit the other job. Do I have to call the tax office or will it get renewed in April and I get tax back as I'm paying quite alot to say what wage I'm on. Thanks.

Yes pal I bought some PVA from Screwfix. It said to mix 1part glue to 5 parts water. I put that down, left it a few hours. Then did another mix 1 part glue to 3 parts water. Next day I put the tiles down with the tile glue and let me tell you you'd need a jack hammer to get it back up ? Thanks ???

I bought some self stick vinyl tiles but didn't stick to my concrete floor. So I bought some luxury vinyl tiles but the woman in the shop said she had them fitted to her kitchen but must put screed down. I bought some screed and laid it, and sanded it. Now I hear mixed opinions about having to primer the screed for the glue to stick too. I'm not a builder by no means but what is correct? Thanks ??

I have a corsa c 1.2 petrol. The dipstick tube snapped about 4 months ago, I've been driving it without any problems, not lost oil. Now I want to sell it so how do I get the inner tube out without taking sump off? Thanks.

I was woken last night with something running around in my attic. Ok I'm guessing it's a rat or mouse. I've lifted the hatch and was greeted with yellow wool fibre. I'm told it's asbestos!! Years ago I'm sure this council home was draft proved and checked for asbestos. So am i safe to go in, or is it asbestos?

Got my mot due next month. My handbrake needs attention. I pull it all the way up and it isn't working. I've adjusted it, but think the cable has stretched or need new brake shoes fitting. Last year mot I was told one of the back brakes had started sticking and it will need attention. If I pull the brake all the way up the brakes stick on for a while ?

Does anyone work for the Sheffield city council? I work 20 hours a week. I get paid monthly around £650-£700 depending on bonus. I pay £90 a week rent and £67 a month council tax. I pay £82 a month child support. About £80 in fuel. I eat basic stuff. I have tried the benefits calculator on line and I'm not eligible for help. Is this true?

I have recently got a new phone and I'm having problems with opening web pages. Ok I use Google and running 6.0 marshmallow. When I search for a website the screen is bright but when I open the web page it goes dim. I do not use auto brightness, but read on internet that there is a brightness level inside google itself..that would be the problem. Ok I open settings but nowhere am I seeing a brightness level or auto brightness in the settings, has anybody else experienced this? Thanks.
