  1. Simple 'Dog Walker' £1m Public Liability quote £47.53 for the year! One person/Sole Trader with no yrs experience, be daft not to get insured for that price. Call me if you need to discuss, 0114 2505225
  2. DO NOT LIKE HEADER CARTOON AT ALL. But then again I'm not a Dad...or a Mum! Big fat Uh-err Family Fortunes stylee!
  3. Hi I have tried to PM you with an insurance quote as per your request but your mailbox is full. Do you have an email address I can send it to or can I call you? Regards, Shelleyis
  4. tee hee too! I think Fancie has 3 shops actually, and quite honestly probably has "nailed it" in terms of Marketing, product and the locations they have chosen. Still plenty more locations to go at, do not be deterred if you have a good product etc etc. I'd look at Broomhill and Crookes, just for the amount of footfall there is there, the type of people likely to pop in and also it wouldn't be competing with Fancie who have a shop on Sharrow Vale Rd (Ecclesall). On a personal note tho': Hopefully this cupcake fad will die soon, just the look of them makes me feel sickly! And yes, as a fete organiser, there are a lot of cupcake stalls/businesses/hobbiest in the arena, so you need to stand out for some reason!
  5. Oops! 12-4pm. I've just edited the original post too.
  6. Contrary to rumours today's market (Sun 17th June 2011) is still going ahead, despite the drizzly rain the stallholders have all turned up and are stocked up ready to go! Please come and check it out! :-)
  7. Stewart Road one still working but a bit dim. Would love to see these restored.
  8. Hi Babybel The Chair of Sharrow Vale Community Assoc is organising the stalls this time (July 2011), Rob. Your cheque is not cashed unless you are successful, so it won't have gone to the bank yet. We have set deadline for apps as 1month before and will select the stalls asap after that deadline, to let stallholders know asap so that they can get organised! We are having a selection meeting tmrw in fact.
  9. One more week until the July Market application deadline, any more for any more?
  10. Deadlines for receiving stall applications has changed in order to give stallholders time to organise their stock, so please check before each market as the dates will change but will hopefully be about 2 months before!
  11. Pencil these in your diary! • December 16th 2012 • April 21st 2013 • July 21st 2013 (if it doesn't clash with Tramlines, the 14th if it does, tbc) • December 1st 2013 all from 12-4pm The stall booking form is available from the Sharrow Vale Community Association's website - http://www.sharrowvalecommunityassociation.co.uk/market/ If you were there at the last one, see if you can spot yourself in the photos! Visit our Facebook page "sharrow vale market" If you are interested in performing at the markets, whether it is music, dance, magic...or add an extra dimension with your interest, charity or group, we would also like to hear from you. Please contact us through the Association website. Thanks to all who have taken part and visited the last ones, without you all it wouldn't be the growing success that it is. We hope to see you again soon.
  12. Link your products/site to other ethical online catalogues. Get a stall at the next Environment week festival thingy at St Mary's Church or other markets such as the Sharrow Vale and Nether Edge ones. Find sympathetic (ethical) guest houses/hotels that may like your products for their complementary shampoos/conditioners etc. Try and get some press coverage if you got something worth mentioning, always free. If you would like any help with any of these or implementing other ideas just let me know, it's another part of what I do for a living!
  13. Hell-oo I can give you a quotation. PM me your no and I'll call you back. See www. below.
  14. Sorry, I have taken this off and sent PM instead. ................................................................................... ..................................................................................... ...................................................................................... ....................................................................................
  15. Just reminding everyone (and bumping up this post) that the market is on this weekend 12-4pm. Fingers crossed for good weather! We hope to see y'all there!
  16. Sharrow Vale is organising 3 markets this year, the first is on the 15th May, unfortunately requests for stalls has closed for this one but there will be others in July and November, please watch this thread http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=741712 for updates. Good luck with your plans!
  17. Yey DaisyBoo!!! Your glass 1/2 empty today?
  18. Next one is 15th May 2011, 1st of 3 for this year! An interesting mix of stalls, attractions and entertainment coming our way!
  19. Hi DaisyBoo, I nearly posted an update at the weekend but thought I'd wait until after tonight. We shortlisted last week and will make the final decisions tonight, so everyone should hear by the end of the week. Please note, for those who have been unsuccessful it was mainly due to there being too many of the same type of stall but if you were not accepted this time you will be given priority next time, so do apply again!
  20. / I hope I don't come across as rude but just wanted to add - Even if the originator has bought what they need by now I often use the Forum to find recommendations, as someone has invariably asked the same question I am pondering before (no matter how long ago...well, within reason I suppose) and it's good to look through the posts to pick out the good guys from the cowboys and find local suppliers. 9/10 I manage to find a good one thanks to the Forum.
  21. Sharrow Vale Hardware have got 3 types of organic seed potatoes in , £4.95 a sack of around 30-40. They've also got some shallots and onion sets. 370 Sharrow Vale Road, S11 8ZP, 268 6427. Thought I'd post this as we need to get chitting!!! and they need to get them sold before they go to waste. Support your local independent stores.
  22. Very helpful and goes nowhere to answering the original question. Thanks Snook, that makes sense. Mike84, I think I presumed (obviously wrongly) that there were no restrictions after 8.30pm in line with the parking meters. Still no responses from any wardens out there who want enlighten us with knowing what time they are supposed to clock off tho' eh? Best to keep us in the dark, more dosh that way.
  23. We have just been out for a meal in town and returned to our car to find a parking ticket issued at 9.08pm!!! Ok, the spot we chose may have been a little iffy i.e. loading or disabled bay, but I really thought that all the pay and display stuff in town ended at 8.30? And therefore that most rules ended after this time (except double yellows). So what time do the <removed> finish? This kinda thing really upsets me as I don't get out often enough and it makes for an expensive night out when it happens. I have always thought that 8.30pm parking meter charges was taking the P' too, the council should be encouraging the use of the city's entertainments no making it prohibitive.
  24. Hi Tad1, hi there everyone. I just wanted to let everyone whose interested know that the next Sharrow Vale Market Day is Sunday 15th May from 12-4pm. Anyone interested in having a stall at this market should email sharrowvalemarket@gmail.com to get their expression of interest/application in before the deadline of the 1st April. Stalls will be contacted a week or so later if they have been successful. We are also looking for Entertainers, groups of performers, singers etc to help entertain the 1000s that visit (weather permitting). If you are interested in a slot for this or even future markets please also email the same address putting 'Entertainment' in the subject line. Deadlines for entertainers is 20th April. As someone who has found it hard to find the dates of this market before I intend to update this one with the rest of the ones throughout 2011, so check here for the one in July and....? too! We look forward to seeing you all there!!!!
