  1. We are heading towards an American society by the sounds of it! Metal detectors in schools will be next!
  2. I believe that we should adopt the Australian way of thinking; If you wish to reside in England then you must accept our way of life and respect our culture by blending into our society and way of life.
  3. I must say the Police have been excellent whenever I have required their assistance.
  4. They have forecast snow!? What ever happened to Global warming? Luke
  5. One car I know of which is increasing in value is the BMW E30 M3. A friend bought his for £6750 and now its worth at least £8.5k
  6. You would have thought so, but so many people have no idea what it costs to run overall as they fail to factor everything in..
  7. Hi Kittenta, First of all, What type of car takes your fancy (Sporty/cruiser, big/small, slow/fast) and whats your budget? We can narrow it down from there...
  8. Little - yes there is. A few handy tips from the RAC to help increase mpg include: 1. Check tyre pressures regularly 2. Keep windows up and air con off (Maybe not so much in summer!) 3. Change up through the gears at a low rpm 4. Remove excess weight from the car such as golf clubs left in the boot etc. Feel free to add to the list..
  9. Added! Thanks Little Buzz!
  10. £460 pcm is pretty excessive although that is for 3 cars I guess!
  11. £5500! Thats about a third of the national average wage! What car is that if you dont mind me asking?
  12. Oh yeah, so what are you restoring? Its always there as a solution for those people who could do with the extra cash, of which there are pleanty!
  13. Hey there, So exactly how much does it cost you to run your car? Most of us dont take the time to add it all up! Post your vehicle type and annual cost factoring in: 1.petrol 2.insurance 3.depreciation 4.tax 5.servicing/repairs 6.parking 7.tyres 8.misc maintenance (wipers, bulbs, oil top up between services, washer fluid etc.) 9.cleaning 10.interest (where applicable) 11.RAC/AA/Green Flag etc. You might be suprised!!
  14. I totally agree. The ban seems to have isolated the problem to areas around doors and fire exits like you say. The installation of a cig bin would be all that is required!
  15. I think there is a place up near Fox House pub. As you go up the hill towards Sheffield away from the pub its on the left. Ive never been on there (in a car anyway!) but when I last walked up there I saw a few off roaders..
