  7. My son done his CBT at owleton on Sat 14th, he got on really well and thankfully passed. it started at 9am, and apart from a stop for lunch he didn't finish till 3:45, they had some road awareness signs first then rode round a coned area, then it was on the road, filled up at a petrol station etc, he really enjoyed it.
  8. Just booked my son in for his CBT at owlerton called Bikesafe rider training 0114 2322445 or 0800 0351054, they were very helpful he's doing it next week end. cost £99.
  9. Guided walking is basically assisting a blind or visually impaired person to get about, depending on how much sight they have depends on how much you will need to help them. the walking group enables them to get out into the countryside and is also a useful way for them to keep fit. each person is an individual and will have different needs, when you meet someone you just ask them how much, if any, sight they have and what they would like you to tell them.
  10. The visually impaired people in Sheffield have their own walking group. Some of the walks they do are really quite a challenge even for sighted people. Is there anyone out there willing to try to be a guide for these visually impaired people. This is not for the faint hearted!!!! We always seem to need more guides and the more the merrier on the walks. Just come along and meet the folks and give it a try, no pressure you would not be expected to guide without a bit of training. will give more details if there's any interest shown.
  11. I feel i have just wasted my time reading the ebove story, will anyone ever know the TRUTH!!!!
