Boarded up pubs in Sheffield
Terra Owl replied to ed9morelies's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Prince of Wales on Derbyshire Lane is shut, supposed to be reopening tomorrow but don't know whether it will or not. -
Been having problems with our SKY for about a month. Pictures always freezing and the box switching itself and then the remote won't work at all. Spoken to SKY a few times and its always the same, switch it off at the plug, wait for 30 secs, what's the weather like? Finally decided to upgrade to SKY+ HD but apparantly we can't, because even though we've been with SKY since the beginning of time because we haven't got a debit/credit card we can't upgrade. Wanted to send a cheque and wait till it had cleared before receiving my new box, but no. They are quite happy to take our direct debit every month and even though we want to upgrade and pay more money to them they don't want it. Has any one had the same trouble?

Anyone know the Bagshaw family?
Terra Owl replied to estelle123's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
I used to be a Bagshaw before getting married. My uncle was George Bagshaw (Bobby Charlton look alike). My father was Ron and I have an aunt who is Mary. They lived on Bramall Lane from round about the 1930's. My dad always said that his grandad once paid the wages at SUFC. -

Sheffield built on seven hills
Terra Owl replied to Terra Owl's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Thanks Discodown for your reply and thanks Mod Man for your answers. I am not a nooby, just don't seem to get the time to go on the Forum like other people seem to. Receiving responses like the ones that have come through for this thread put me off even more. -
