Hi All Just to let you all know. Blade is getting discharged from the hospital in the morning for good. ( at last ). It has just taken nearly 10 months for us to get this far. He is doing just great, Both the twins have got 2 teeth on the bottom. His carer seems really nice to, she will be coming 3 nights a week to have him. We had to ring 999 last Thursday night for him, as he blocked his trackie of ( the 4th night on the trot ). We changed his trackie straight away and turned his oxygen up, but he was still going blue and there was not a thing we could do. So the ambulance rushed him straight to the childrens, where he was put straight back on to the ward. The next morning the ENT surgeons came and said, because he was putting so much weight on that the trackie he had in was just to small for him and that is what had caused him to do it. So they changed it for a bigger size. But it really scared us to deaf, knowing that we had done all we could have done and it had not helped. The thought of having this for the next 3 years or so, is also scarey, but we will get there. I just thank god for the great husband & kids that I have been blessed with. Hi I am asking for your help please, a friend of a friends daughter needs an electric wheel chair so she can get about and they have been told if they collect enough plastic lids of milk, pop, gravy, fabric conditioner or anything that has a plastic lid. Then they will give her one. But she has just got to get enough to match her body weight to be able to get it. If you could please help, let me know and I could collect them. Hi All. Just to let you all know what has been going of with the twins. Well guess what blade is still in the hospital ( what a surprise ). He has been coming home for most of the week and just going back when Darren has been working nights. On monday night has was at home with us and scared us to deaf. It was about 2.30 am, I had just finished feeding him and he was bang out a sleep. He stopped breathing and went blue on us, we did him an emergency trackie change but that didn't work, so we turned his oxygen up full and he started to come round. I phoned the hospital and told them what had happened and they couldn't explain it either, just said to keep a close eye on him. For the rest of the night, I just sat and watched him all night, to scared to go to sleep. The next day he was great, all smiles. We have been told that they have now got a nurse sorted for him, for the nights at home. He has got to stop in the hospital for the full week starting the 23rd for the nurse to get used to him and at the end of that week all been well he will be discharged at last. ( we have heard this that many times, we are just waiting to see now, fingers crossed ). They were 9 months old on monday. But apart from that he has been great, now weighing about 14IB 12oz. As for Freya, she is doing just great. She has got her 2 bottom teeth through, we found them on sunday, Well Darren did when she bit him LOL. Right got to go Freya is crying. We recently found out he is deaf, but is has also got a trackie in his throat and is on oxygen. Well while he has been in the hospital, he has fell in love with 1 toy it is called a Mirror Chimeabout. To buy this for him would cost us £54 from the Rompa site. So I was wondering if there are any groups or other places I could try first to either borrow or buy it. Please pm me if you could help, we would be really greatful of it. Hi everyone. Sunday night went great with Blade home for the first time, we spent most of the night jumping out of our skin when his alarm went of. We had more trouble from our eldest Kelsey, than we did Blade. Monday morning felt great to wake up and have all of the kids under the same roof and not having to phone the hospital to see how he had been. We had to take him back yesterday, but we are hoping to have him home tomorrow night, as we are trying to decorate Kelsey & India's bedroom at the moment. No more has been said about Blade coming home for good yet, it has been a week today that we had the phone call. Does anyone know if or how I could put some photos of the twins on here for people to see our beautiful babies ?. got to go and finish the bedroom now. Love Rosemarie & Family xxx

Hi All, Guess what ?. We have got Blade home for the night. All 5 of them are bang out a sleep. ( So sweet ). The day after I last posted on here, Blade came down with another chest infection. His oxygen went up and is still up to what it is normally. But he is alot better than he was. We are just about to go to bed with the twins ( that sounds so good to be saying ), but I keep trying to find things to do, as I am scared stiff of going to sleep and not hearing him if is oxygen comes of or he blocks his trackie up. Darren says we will hear him, just have to see. He has been smiling like mad all day. Freya got weighed on friday and she now weighs 12IB 10oz and is doing just great, getting to be a right little madam ( just like her 2 other big sisters ). Right got to go and get some sleep now or at least try. Will post tomorrow and let you all know how it went. Wish us luck. Love Rosemarie, Darren and Kids ( all 5 of them LOL ).xxx

Hi All Just to let you all know the great news, we have just had a phone call saying we have been granted the funding for Blade to have a nurse 3 nights a week at home. So fingers crossed it should all be sorted and he can be home in less than 2 weeks for good. It has taken just over 3 months for us to hear them words, so as you can imagine now. I am sat here doing this with tears streaming down my face ( We are finally going to get our baby home where he belongs ). I will post later on how he is doing him self and Freya, but just can't at the moment for the tears. Love Rosemarie, Darren & Kids.xxx

You wanted to give something back, to those that helped you through a terrible chapter in your life. Hi All. With our story been in the paper yesterday, we have had someone contact us about doing a parachute jump , to raise some money for the Jessops S.C.B.U. Darren has said he will love to do it ( he even said he would wear a Sheffield wednesday shirt, to do it in, LOL ). But this is where we are really asking for your help now.... To do the jump, we have got to raise at least £350 in sponsorship money. So if anyone would like to help in doing this our number is 07760118011 or you could pm us. In the near future we are planning to do a sponsored walk from the Jessops to Jimmys Hospital ( Leeds ) and back, as they were going to send Blade there for a heart operation. Hi Everyone. Blade had his earing aids fitted yesterday in both ears, as they have now told us they think he is profoundly deaf. He looks so cute with them in. He also got weighed yesterday and now weighs 13IB 4OZ ( he's our chunky little man ). He has been doing great and considering everythink, he is a really happy little man ( smiling all the time ). He has been home a few times now and it has just been great to have them all together. Freya is doing great to, apart from she will not take to solids very well. She got weighed today to and weighs 12IB bang on. She is on the dainty side, but her mouth makes up for that, ( just like her mum LOL ). Right better go and see to them all. Hi All Just to let you all know, Blade did come home yesterday for the day and it was just great. To feel like a proper mother to him after nearly 8 months was out of this world. We went to collect him about 11am, me and Darren, as I am not allowed to drive in the car alone with him, incase he needs any suction or his oxygen pipe comes of. He was just great all day. Then Darren had to go to work ( as he was on nights ). We should have been taking him back about 3pm, but our daughter ( Kelsey ) hadn't seen him, as she was at school. So we sorted it out for Darren to go to work and my friend and her daughter to come down. My friend sat in the back of the car with Blade and her daughter stayed with the other kids here. So we took him back about 8pm, after I had got him all changed and ready for bed. It was hard work having all 5 of the kids at home, but great. ( We can't wait for him to come home for good now, we still don't have a clue when it will be ). The full story should be in the star any time in the next week, as they are doing it as a follow on ( We think ) from our other daughter India, when she was in the I.C.U last January fighting for her life at just 5 weeks old, with different things.
