We would really like to get her some proper singing lessons, we did look at stagecoach, but there prices where just well out of our price range. Can anyone recommend somewhere, or do you do them. 6. Hi All Blade had his operation on wednesday and we thought it had gone well. He stopped down on H.D.U on the Wednesday night and then went back up to the ward. But sadly he wasn't absorbing his milk in his stomach and got seriously dehidrated ( because he kept ripping the drips out of his arms and legs, so it got to the point where they couldn't get a drip back in him ), so they rushed him back down to H.D.U. tonight. There they did manage to get one in him ( in his head ), but he got that 1 out. Blood tests showed he had got other problems occuring to due to all this. So the only other 2 things to try was for him to go to surgery again and have a line put in there ( but the risk to this was as soon as he came round he would rip it out again and putting back to sleep so soon ) or have him put on a ventilator and sedated so that they could get the fluids in him that they need to. The last attemp they was going to try and get it back in his head worked and they have also given him somethink to put him to sleep. So please fingers crossed and pray that they can keep it in him for at least 48-72 hours to get him back up again. If this is not making sense, it is because I have only just come back from the hospital and Darren has gone up to him ( shift work as you like between us due to the other 4 ). I will let you know what happens, as for now I just need some sleep. Rosemarie, Darren and Family xxx

  9. Hi Everyone. Sorry I haven't had chance to let you all know how the twins are doing, but it has been up and down ( with more downs ). They have now just turned 2. To start with Freya as normal she is doing just fine We have had no problems with her really. She is now walking, talking ( just full of mouth, she is a right little madam LOL ). She has just gone in to size 9-12 months clothes. Right as for Blade, he has still got his trackie in and has just come of his oxygen again. It has been operation after operation. Right lets see how many I can remember. To start with he had severe reflux ( sickness ). which was causing him to get chest infection after another and kept ending up in the hospital all the time with them. So he had an operation to have the top of his belly totally twisted to stop it ( easy way to explain it ) and at the same time he had a mickey button put in his stomach, so we no longer had to feed in by an NG tube down his nose, so we now feed him direct into his belly by a tube. He still doesn't eat or drink by mouth at all. That was all done on the 5th of november last year. Then a couple of months later, as you know we was told he is profoundly deaf. Well he was been checked to have a cockel ear plant fitted, but to do that, he first had to have an operation to have gromites fitted first. With great news, with them and the strongest ear aids he can have he has now gone from profoundly to severely deaf. Which we are now learning sign language to help comunicate with him. Then he went for an op to see how his throat was doing with the trackie, sadly we was told it was a bit worse now than it was to start with. But the light at the end of the tunnel was that he could have a reconstruction on it. ( meaning that they would take some pieces from his ribs and place 1 at the inside of his throat and 1 at the back to stop it from clapsing ). He was supposed to be having this done last month, but it was cancelled due to him refluxing again. The acid from his reflux has caused some more damage to his vocal cords and throat, by making it really red sore & blistered. Even though he is on medicines for it. The risk it could damage the reconstruction and make it fail and they was a risk that he would not end up been able to have the trackie taken out at all, is why it was cancelled. So now he is booked in for an operation on the 25th of this month, to have his stomach done again. We are hoping they will do the reconstruction op next year and hopefully take the trackie out later next year to. As for Blade him self he is just getting over pneumonia again, but is doing great. Even though he has had to go through all this he is always smiling, laughing and just full of beans. He is walking, climbing, wrecking the house with the rest of the kids. He is in size 2-3 years clothes, as you can tell he is no small boy LOL. He is not talking or making any sounds yet, just a matter of time. Just to have them both is a miracle. During all this happening, I have lost my nannan, dad and grandad and Darren got made redundant, but we are all still here and fighting and thats the way it will always be. I will let you all know how Blades op goes. Right got to go now and see to the kids. Bye all xx Love rosemarie, darren and kids.xxx
  10. Thank you every one for your kind birthday wishes for Blade & Freya. It was a great day, but plenty of tears as you can imagine and the guilt came flooding back for me. I know in my heart that there wasn't a thing I could have done to stop them from been born or having to go through the stuff they did, but it was still there. But just looking at both there smiles and I know we are going to be just fine. And they got to meet there grandparents for the first time to ( Darren's parents ), so that made it even more special for us. Thank you again everyone for just been there. Love Rosemarie.& family xxx

  12. Hi All Guess what ?, The twins will be 1 tomorrow. I can't believe a year has passed just like that. But the last 2 years have been hell, what with India in the I.C.U on a vent first then the twins, it just seemed never ending. ( We made ). Well to let you all know how they are going on. Start with Freya, she is alot easier than Blade LOL. Well fog horn ( as we call her LOL ), is doing great. She is crawling all over the place and pulling her self up on the furniture and she has got a big mouth just like her mum. Her belly is great now and we have had no problems with it at all. She now weighs 14Ib 5oz. She looks so funny crawling as she is so small. She is just going in to size 3-6 months clothes. As I am typing now she is just going to sleep ( at last ). As for Blade, that is a total different story. He has not been that good. He has got to have an other operation on is belly. He has got severe reflux ( where they are just been sick all the time ). So he is having the op on the 5th november, unless he gets admitted in to the hospital any earlier for any reason. They are going to tie the top part of his belly to the bottom part, so hopefully to let food go down and not back up and they will also be putting him a button in his belly for him to be feed straight into his belly and not by the ng tube down his nose. Which they say is alot easier than the ng. As they say he could be about 4-5 years old before he trys having any sort of food by his mouth. They have put him on constant feeds by a machine during the night, to stop him from losing weight ( so that is at the side of his cot with all the other machines ). But as for his weight he is now 16Ib 15oz and in 6-9 months clothes. He has had a couple of infections while he has been home, but not half as many as he was getting in the hospital. Blade is now rolling on to his belly and lifting his head up to have a good look around. To say he has gone through all of this he is the most happiest baby going always smiling at you even when his face is covered in sick ( LOL ). They have also just fitted him with some new earing aids. Right I will have to leave it there for the minute as Blade is on 1 and needs suction and Darren is at work. Love Rosemarie & family xxx
  13. Good luck mark and it was a great piece in the star, Hope to see you this afternoon if Blade is ok. Love Rosemarie & Family xxx
  14. The last few months my email stopped coming ( get some, but not alot ). The ones I don't get are the ones like. From freecycle telling you what has been listed that day and when you post things on here and people reply to them. I have checked on here to make sure all the boxs are ticked for me to get them I used to get them, now they have just stopped. My broadband is with aol and the email is a hotmail 1. As anyone got an idea what I could try to get them back again, as it is driving me mad having to check my threads to see if people have posted on it. Thanks Rosemarie.x
  15. Can any one please help. We are after going to Florida ( Disneyland ) next year for 2 weeks with our 5 children. But Due to our 11 month old twin son Blade having a Tracheotomy and been on oxygen, we need to get proper medical insurance for him and all the ones I have contacted can not help. I have sent an email to the Tracheotomy uk assocation asking them, but it will take afew days for them to get back to me. So that is why I was wondering if any body on here could offer any advice about who we could contact ?. Thanks Rosemarie & family.xxx

  23. Hi Every one. Just to let you all know Blade is doing great at home, we still can't believe we have got them all at home at last. ( there was some really bad moments that I didn't think we would make it with them ) But it is great. Darren will be doing the jump this Saturday down near lincoln some where. So will let you all know how much we have raised for the Special care unit at the Jessops. But what ever we raise, will never be enough for what they did for us all and we would really like to thank all of you on here, for your support & prayers. You will never know how much it helped us in our darkest moments ( as we have got no family worth talking about, they have been no where near while we was going though all this ). So it was just me, Darren the kids, some great friends and everyone on here. So THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. Love Rosemarie, Darren and the kids.xxx
