  1. Thanks very much ---------- Post added 22-10-2013 at 11:29 ---------- This made me
  2. Thanks for all your feedback, I'd be very interested in joining a local group and I'll send you my details
  3. That sounds interesting as I have a friend who also wants to learn. Is your tutor Sheffield based?
  4. Yes I emailed them and they called me but they're not doing them anymore Thanks for all your help though
  5. Thanks, that was the first place I looked- would be ideal but unfortunatley they don't do them.
  6. Can anyone recommend a good place to learn French language? I live on the outskirts of Sheffield (S25) so Rotherham or Sheffield area? Ta muchly
  7. I can highly recommend my builder- Brian Harper of Windows Plus. He is local to me and I had seen his work first hand as he did our neighbours extension. He and his lad dug the footings in 2 day of miserable weather. They tidy up after themselves and come when they say they will. Very happy with the work done so far- Brian was even up a ladder in blizzard a couple of weeks ago moving a pipe!!!
  8. No I'm sorry we don't as I work the rest of the week. Some of the other walkers attend different local groups on other days though.
  9. Hi Just come across this group whilst exploring Sheffield Forum Thought you might be interested in the little walking group which I run, it's a very informal group which has evolved from a formal one- basically I began the group whilst working for a charity with funding, when the funding ended I continued it on a voluntary basis. It's a great group of people, all retired (apart from me- I'm only 30!!!) but everyone welcome. We have a website which was developed by one of the members, please have a look at what we do and feel free to contact me for further info http://www.striders.webeden.co.uk
  10. Thankyou for all the useful information, I'm wary of all the crooked charities out there and that's why I'm asking for advice. Also, for those who think 'charity begins at home', I actually do voluntary work and support local charities but think even those in poverty in the UK have so much compared to those in third world countries. It's given me a lot to think about, thanks.
  11. I've decided I'd like to sponsor a child overseas, as well as for me it's so that my daughter who's 6 can see how lucky she is and what other children live like in poorer countries. Can anyone recommed a good charity for this? I've looked online and there are several but I always prefer to go by recommedations of others whenever possible. I'd like one that delivers regular updates so my daughter can see them growing up. Any advice would be appreciated
  12. I appreciate any advice so don't think you're finding fault. It'd be 3x3 external so 3x2 ginside
  13. My dad was hit by a bus whilst in his little Micra! No damage to bus but as you can imagine lots of damage to his car- the bus driving accepted liability at the time but then changed his mind when it came to sorting out dads car. In the end my dad's insurance company pushed and he won but to add insult to injury someone on the bus filed a whiplash claim against my dad!!!!
