  1. Gas you’ll have to join Facebook for many more Grimesthorpe sites x
  2. Rumour has it that boots is moving in but this is NOT the case, it's apparently going to be an alternative medicine shop for the slovakian community.
  3. There's one on Woolley wood bottom across from the end of bellhouse road, my partner swears by them.
  4. Try looking at Emmaus, it's a place that take in house clearance stuff and proceedes go to help homeless, they make wooden benches out of old pine beds, they're really chunky n sturdy n might make you a longer one cheaper than you could make one.
  5. My partner is a sprayer n works at Europa body shop on callywhite lane, give them a call, they sometimes do collection of car, it is best to take the whole car for colour match, good rates, excellent finish, 01246 292261.
  6. My partner Shaun works at Europa crash centre, callywhite lane, dronfield, they do reasonable body repairs.
  7. Europa crash centre on callywhite lane, dronfield, not sure how far that is away from you?
  8. Try pa jewellery at common side, I always go there for special jewellery and they make their own too.
  9. I second st michaels at ecclesfield, never had a problem there.
  10. Yes it is still going but think you might be on about the previous one, we've run it from there since feb 88 but unfortunately there's only myself & Mum & Dad running it now, nobody is interested in doing voluntary work anymore. We're open Wed night 7-9, downstairs, using side doors if you want to pop in anytime.
  11. Grandad, George senior was 89 but you might have gone to school with George junior he's 68.
  12. Hiya, yes there was a canary island as my grandad used to live there and my great uncle used to talk about it but when I've mentioned it on here before nobody has come back with anything and sadly that generation of my family have died. It would be nice to see some pictures of where my dad's family lived, good luck.
  13. Just to let you know the sad news that George Broadhead senior died peacefully on 4th Dec 2014. Funeral to be held on Monday 22nd Dec at Shiregreen cemetery, 12.45 followed by internment, family flowers only but donations can be made for Alzheimer's society to John Fairest, Penistone road north, Wadsley Bridge, RIP Grandad B x
  14. Good news for Grimesthorpe Family Centre, we have won a make over, it's a scheme called 'Give & Gain' day, it's where big employers give their employees time off to give some hours back to community projects. There will be up to 200 employees taking part in making over the centre from painting, plastering to knocking bits out and changing. We are so excited, when the lady was saying what they could do it brought tears to our eyes. There will be a facebook page and twitter account set up for people to see the progress and I'll keep everyone informed. It is going to be amazing, can't wait for the first meeting to get started.
  15. I have been asked to post on behalf of John Nortcliff, it's with great sadness that Dotty Nortcliff, wife of the late Brian, died on 5th August in hospital, funeral to be held on Tuesday 26th August at Shiregreen cemetery at 12.30, after they will be celebrating her life in The Ball Inn, ringside. Rip Dotty, a lovely lady. John can see your posts, for some reason it wouldn't let him post?
